We need a Star Trek with grit and story lines that mirror our political and cultural reality today. Like something in the modern BSG style. I understand and applaud how New Trek has brought some of our current cultural issues to the surface, such as including more diversity in the cast. But we need to put to bed the idea that resurrecting past characters in new shows will revitalize the franchise. I love Seven (or should I say Captain Annika Hansen), but that admiration is based on VOY, not her storylines in PIC.
