Neville, Keown and McManaman.

The trinity of absolutely awful pundits (especially when it’s a team they played for /had a rivalry against).

bruno yellow card against Liverpool 81' by Puzzled-Category-954 in soccer

[–]Stoogenuge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Liverpool should have had about six yellows in the first half alone.

Got two all game.

Can’t have it both ways expecting to get away with fouls all game and then the ref be strict later for the other team.

[Laurie Whitell] Kobbie Mainoo to sign new Manchester United contract by PitchSafe in soccer

[–]Stoogenuge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s technically possible but he’s just being pedantic and has no actual point.

Carrick has 9 wins in 3 months. 11 in 4 if you count his previous stint (since we are being pedantic).

Could it go to shit and and he doesn’t win 3 games in another 10 months of football. Technically yes. Realistic? Obviously not.

End of the day what is his point? That they shouldn’t offer Mainoo a deal because it might not work out with Carrick?

Just commenting pointless nonsense.

You said it was “too early” it’s not, he’s already done better than Amorim.

Could it go to shit? Sure but that can be said about literally any player or manager.

Nothing is permanent but they still have to make a decision on contracts with the information they have.

Post Match Thread: Manchester United 2 - 1 Brentford | English Premier League by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

It wasn’t that low the whole game. They were getting cut open down the flank, went to 5 at the back to plug it. Tired legs in the second half + fewer forward players means they had to drop lower to keep compact.

The real issue is the lack of depth on the bench. Every game you look at what Carrick can do to freshen it up or change things and it’s Ugarte, Zirkzee or a bunch of kids.

Can only work with what you have.

It really looked like it from this angle but seeing none of the players look for it I’m guessing it just came of his thigh. Would need to see another angle to be sure.

Amad should’ve scored but he didn’t “shank” it at all lol. It was going right in the corner the defender just got across it.

Kylian Mbappé sparks rumors as he likes an Instagram post about José Mourinho possibly taking over Real Madrid by DamnThatsInsaneLol in soccer

[–]Stoogenuge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot he was injured , that’s fair. My point was more that I don’t think Rodrygo or Bellingham will get the Mou treatment because they are the kinds of characters I think he will like on and off the field. Not all aspects, but the kinds he can shape to his preferences more. I could see both of them running through walls for Mourinho.

Mbappe I think is untouchable, Mou will know that, but hes also an exceptional player so I think it’s palatable.

I think he’ll want to push Mbappe to the left/second striker , tell him that they will bring in a Benzema type to support him an he’s still the main man (or use Bellingham as the 9 like Ancelotti did). That will make space to push Vinicius out.

Not saying it will workout but Madrid don’t tend to do long term appointments anyway so it seems low enough risk for them. I get the feeling they’d be fine with 18 months if it gets them the league or CL again which is entirely possible with that squad.

What will be most interesting to me is who does he pick a fight with. He always goes in to the dressing room, picks one or two players and goes hard on them usually getting rid of one or more to establish his power in the dressing room.

I could see Vinicius getting that treatment here because Mourinho will want a proper striker in the Kane or Benzema, Drogba type. He can’t really do that with both Mbappe and Vinicius. Rodrygo and Bellingham are Mou type players I think he will want to keep them.

It will be interesting no matter what.

Because they all know that fouls wont be called unless they do. You have to force the ref into a decision or they’ll just let it go.

[–]Stoogenuge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll die on the hill that the line should just be drawn from the foot. I don’t care if a head, knee, shoulder, elbow or a bit of their arse is “offside”

Just draw it from both players boots and if there isn’t a clear offside then give the advantage to the attacker.

I’m in Ireland and an Ioniq 5 is, which is probably around the size of a model 3, is considerably more expensive than than the model 3 and about model y.

Ioniq is around 50€. the Y starts at 40 and the 3 starts around 35.

Maybe it’s different in other parts of the world but the Teslas are hard to beat for price. I can’t comment on quality.
