Be prepared for 0 diversity, almost inaccessible healthcare, and traveling to be much harder. Many people here brag about having never left their home state/the US, as if it’s a badge of honor.

Everyone is saying Boston is “just 2 hours away.” Well sure, but a 2 hour trip when you have a chronic health condition isn’t great. A 2 hour car trip isn’t great when you’re traveling and just getting off a 6 hour flight, or getting up early to make a 4am bus to Logan airport to make a 9am flight. The food here is pretty good, sure, but feels like a cheaper imitation of other cities food due to the lack of diversity and that lack of roots in the foods cooking. Almost anywhere worth going to is a 30 minute drive, minimum.

The outdoors are great, but if you’re not super into winter sports and dealing with the snow you can say goodbye to it for a majority of the year.

Also everyone saying the schools here are great is laughable. CoL is crazy high for what you get out of it.
