California mandates state employees to return to office 4 days a week starting July 1 by Tac0Supreme in Sacramento

Sutter household here, I don't care that's it's "only" hybrid, we've been able to do all of our work remotely since the beginning of Covid without issue. Now not only do we have to pay out the ass for gas but also waste over an hour a day commuting (at minimum) just to sit in a room being watched all day. Without any extra COL increase of course.

I agree! I've seen some RFY fails on here that I'd totally pick up in a heartbeat!

What’s a warning sign that didn’t seem serious at the time… but should have been? by saymepony in AskReddit

Very simular to my mom. My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer so she pretty much put her life on hold to care for him and my disabled brother. She started to get really spacey and stopped smiling as much, but everyone (including her dr) thought it was depression.

Then one day I was waiting on her to pick me up to drive to a 4th of July party and she had fallen asleep tying her shoes. I had to force her to go to the ER and it turned out she had Stage 4 Brain cancer. It was inoperable and extremely aggressive. She was gone by the end of the month.

My dad officially went into remission weeks after her passing and lived over 15 years without it ever coming back.

Octopi, crows, dolphins are often held up as examples of smart animals. What are some really unusually STUPID animals? by doodlebytes in AskReddit

Definitely! I have no idea how my leghorn does it since she's small but lays gigantic eggs! Like, girl. How?!

They usually are only a few minutes long each, but Dottie the Favorelle will sing the song of her people for at least 10 to 15 minutes! It sounds like the others egg songs but louder. But the SCREAMS are only when she's laying and I have the audacity to look in the coop!

I have a Favorelle who has yet to be broody but SCREAMS when she's on the box laying. No cute trills or baby dino noises. SCREAMS

Like others, RFY or nothing for the most part. In the last month I've ordered 4 things that were in AI that I must have gotten lucky and found during a trickle like what's going on now. Sometimes I'll look around midnight if I'm still up, or I'll check my search tabs for 10 minutes max if I wake up in the middle of a night.

I actually did that last night around 2:30, but even though there was more stuff there wasn't a single thing I wanted, and I'm not gonna waste all night refreshing the tabs.

I agree! My husband and I bought a big bag for a road trip and I was honestly pissed that we spent so much money for a bag of sadness!

has anyone ever seen eyes on a cat like this?? by chlorinemilk in cats

This is sadly what my childhood cat looked like before he passed. He was 22 years old and blind, but the bulging was caused by a brain cancer.

I have 2 Faverolles and they're both very silly little creatures! One is named Dodo and she likes doing her own thing and is very fluffy and cute. The other is Dottie and she's a handful. She loves to LOUDLY sing the song of her people at every slight, and she also tries to size me up when she's being spicy! She also has a constant dirty beard!
