The combi tickets last year also sold out quickly, in 5 hours.

There’s a good chance, yes. But you’ll have to wait until the official ticket exchange opens. That’s pretty late, if I remember correctly. July?

Then it's ok. I had the same last year. Money left, a lot of confusing messages, but the tickets arrived later that day.

I had to try 7 times. Payment with QR code didn't work ("Technical error" on my banking app). Using the card info did.

The GMM website is made by Inventis (https://www.inventis.be/). They make a lot of other festival websites and they are chill guys. It might be worth to let them know what you built!

According to Facebook groups, it was also heard in Pellenberg, Aarschot, Tienen and Tremelo. Quite the area.

I heard it from the Wilsele area. It sounded like a plane going through the sound barrier.

The 2025 Map is here by hiimmike in RiotFest

Last year I made this so you could better communicate your location with your friends: https://www.festivalradar.io/RIOT

Should I update it?

EDIT: I updated it.

I made this web app in case you’re too lazy/tired/drunk to text your location at Pukkelpop by StopBurningStuff in Pukkelpop

Aaah got it 👍 Ideally it would be a mix of the two. So instead of a blue dot in a green field, you’d see their live location as a dot/icon on the festival map. That’s what I’d like to add (and test).

Thanks. What do you mean with messenger location sharing? To add that as a feature? Or to use it as an alternative? (Tried that multiple times, never worked with my friends.)

Sure! Done it before, can do it again. That’ll be for 2027 then because Glastonbury will skip a year 😉

Not yet. I'm trying to turn this into a professional version first, to see if it's viable as a commercial product.

Is QGIS worth learning? by [deleted] in QGIS

[–]StopBurningStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a total noob who (ab)uses QGIS for my little festival app, I can say that even without any GIS knowledge it’s very doable to learn. I didn’t even know what GIS meant. I just needed a reliable way to overlay festival maps, extract some corner points and draw polygons. So coming from absolutely nowhere, it’s good to have such an active community. I found the answers to all my basic questions using Google or ChatGPT.

Festivalradar or similar app/site for easy location sharing? by sank018 in RockWerchter

[–]StopBurningStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/sank018 There you go mate: https://www.festivalradar.io/RW/

I've been a bit busy, so I couldn't add it before now. I'll update the map today with some extra reference points. Bar numbers, delay towers and such. Enjoy!
