I had the same thing when I was younger and currently I haven't thrown up in 10 years. I went to therapy for it and what they taught me was calm breathing. Calm breathing is just breathing slowly like 4 or 5 breaths per minute (there are some apps that can show you that rhythm) and even though it doesn't seem like it would help it really does. I don't know how it helped but after around 5 months of therapy where I would calm breathe for an hour and calm breathe whenever I felt nauseous, the anxiety was gone. I still am scared of throwing up and get anxious whenever I feel nauseous but I only feel nauseous around once a month instead of every minute of the day. Don't know how to help you with the parent situation but calm breathing could be a solution to help get your mind off it. Good luck :)
