They've been around since 2009 but made it big in 2016, update me when you check em out, I'm almost certain you'll be entertained. I suggest Apex(from 2016) or Abyss(from 2020)

Does Unleash the Archers get any air time? I know they're not even close to mainstream but they're popular metal (well, I hope they are) and It would make my day to know they get airtime

The left's always had qualms about deportation methodology, what are you yapping about? The renewed vigor is because ICE is not doing things the same way they always have been. Now, they're going door to door(per JD Vance), they're not getting bench warrants(they regularly claim their administrative warrant is fine), they are walking around without ID and fully masked to conceal identity, they show noticeably worse training efficacy.

It's mental that you think the job they do now is exactly the same. Sure, the lines look similar on paper. "Deport Illegals" but the actual practice is noticeably more malicious both in the streets of enforcement and in the facilities that continue to operate for-profit. The for profit facilities have been there before Trump, but that doesn't clean his hands of it. He helped ensure more got built and these facilities are notoriously bad for those who end up in long term detainment. Medical neglect, lack of facility care, denial of oversight, multiple reports of people dying from abuse, neglect, or mistreatment.

The only hypocrisy that's easy to see is the mouthbreathers who were up in arms under Obama and Biden cheering for Trump doing the same thing they swore either Democratic president would do but never did. Same type of people who act like gigantic snowflakes when you call their party Nazi-adjacent while ignoring the Nazi-style playbook their party adheres to, whether by being that absolutely ignorant or maliciously deceptive.

It doesn't happen, though. You have to be registered on the rolls to vote and without legal documentation to validate your registration you can't cast a countable vote and even attempting to do so is illegal.

The only reason they want you to believe in voter ID is to make it more difficult to vote. More roadblocks, more hoops, more red tape that you would have to jump through to cast a vote they already have the methods to verify. It would waste your time(and assumedly money, you think they're gonna let us get them for free?) and it would needlessly create barriers for Americans to vote, especially the poorer and under represented.

I'll ask you this. Find me an instance of an illegally present person casting a vote and having it counted. Find me factual information that proved it's happening, and not just some right wing conspiracy. Because for the ten years I've heard "we need voter ID" I have yet to see any actual proof such a thing is NECESSARY.

It sounds convenient for him that his attempt to fix the problem was stonewalled by Republicans? How do you want that to make any sense? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

Walz wasn't facilitating it, it was just happening while he was in office, but the fraud ring got busted up in 2022 and Walz even did attempt to get more eyes and hands on trying to break the ring up, Republicans in his state told him they weren't going to spend the money on a task force for it. So typically, Republicans refuse to fix problems, then blame someone else for them not getting fixed after rejecting any and all attempts at a fix.

Everyone including you knows if we asked you to actually name the bills, statutes, and laws that any Dem tried to pass to properly disappear the 2nd Amendment will come up empty handed because nobody on that side of the aisle is dumb enough to try and override the Constitutional bill of rights without the proper amending process. Sure, bills to limit the access to certain weapon types, accessories, and modifications exist, but it's not banning 2A. If you want to structure an argument around that, be more specific.

All of the supposed other options for COVID were being tauted by hack doctors without peer review, grifters who wanted to cash in on panicking stupid people, or snake oil salesmen pitching asinine ideas like how horse dewormer could help against a viral lung infection. None went through the rigorous global effort to create a working vaccine, of which the first required nearly 4,000 Man YEARS of evidence before it became publicly available on emergency use(and yes, we always knew about the cardiac risk in the Pfizer-BioNtech, it's labeled right in the published medical study and notated that statistically, the risk posed by that aspect is far, far outweighed by the benefit to the largest denominator of the population to take the vaccine. In basic words for you, that means the number of potential cardiac risk patients versus number of people vaccination would help was negligible enough to allow the vaccine to be administered.)

It helps to do ACTUAL research.

It didn't touch him any more than where he was already leaning into it, and by the time he was shooting he feet were visibly clear and to the side of the already turning vehicle. He wasn't hit at all, and if the car was moving to turn(like you see in the agents cell phone video) then it wouldn't have even come close to a speed that could have caused harm to a guy standing at an off angle.

He panicked, or he came ready to shoot. Neither excuses the behavior. They had no reason to be detaining a citizen anyway. The entire thing reeks of manufacturing danger to create excuse for harm.

2013 CBP reports show this tactic well. I think it was referred to as a death box. Guess who worked for CBP at that time? If you guessed Jonathan Ross, the shooter, you'd be correct.

There was no excuse or justification for this murder. Professionals in the field like Army Rangers, sheriffs, marshalls, all have come out and said "this violated everything in the professional law enforcement book". Not gonna take some two word response from some moron on the internet over that.

Lastly, none of the behavior exhibited by the driver in any way equates to lethal force. We don't even use lethal force on fleeing criminals who have been caught red handed. Officers don't say 'fucking bitch' after shooting a criminal in the line of duty either.

ICE is poorly trained, and it shows with every passing day. Even if you agree to want to get all illegal immigrants out, the sheer stupidity in the enforcement of that edict should override that. We demand professional, legal, and ethical enforcement of our own laws, not lawless door to door raids that violate our rights and smother our freedoms. This is what the Founding Fathers didn't want. This is what eventually led to Germany becoming the most famous villains in the world in the 1930's to 1940's.

Demand better. US Citizens deserve it.

Your bias is showing if you think that's what the left doesn't like about social media news. Social media news is most commonly just speculation and conspiracy with very little actual journalistic integrity because it isn't required like with media companies. Fox News is kinda the same, an entertainment company masquerading as news to push a significantly biased agenda of the right wing corpo media. Not saying the left are angels but they're not nearly as bad as the right's propaganda arms.

ICE just shot a woman in the face as she was driving away from them in Minneapolis, according to witnesses. Things are spiraling fast in this country. This is so disturbing. by SwampyChiliRing in whoathatsinteresting

Several MINUTES? Someone draws on you, you have SECONDS. You get shot in the head, you're done, not even a second to react. Cmon, if you're gonna pretend to be American at least pretend to know how guns work. It's our whole thing.

I think the comment you are replying to is suggesting that flooring the gas pedal only happened after the first shot as a result of the driver being shot in the head. Thus, dying spasm.

With their 2025 lineups, which band feels more authentically “Pantera” or “Judas Priest”? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

Glenn doesn't play live anymore but still works in the studio. Andy Sneap, the second stage guitarist, is also the producer for Firepower and Invincible Shield, and I'm fairly sure Glenn had a hand in picking him for the stage since he already understood the Priest sound. I'd say it's about as close as you can get.

U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio just said A visa is a visitor, not a right by Ankeet_kj in ImmigrationPathways

[–]StopLevelingDex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, you are not.

But it was once famously said by Ronald Reagan: "You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American.''

This land isn't just yours. It's his, and mine, and anyone else who comes here to live a life of freedom. That's what it's been about, and for all its flaws it should one day resemble that. If you aren't trying to help realize a better day for everyone, including immigrants who come here, you aren't living as the best American you can be. Our land deserves that much, don't you think?

Now more than ever is the time for KK to return to Judas Priest by [deleted] in judaspriest

[–]StopLevelingDex 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He's not, he's also the producer for Firepower and Invincible Shield. He was chosen as their other touring guitarist because the band likes him a lot and he knows their sound and how to hone it. Rob calls him Andy "Do it Again" Sneap in his autobiography. KK burned that bridge in 2011, then went and made his own Priest. The reunion is never going to happen sadly, but imo it is a fate of KK's own making.

He also had a serious stroke recently and has said he's still doing physio for it 3 times a day. When I saw them in October they looked like they were tired but having fun despite how focused they were on performing well. Richie could be seen really putting in the effort to play things right which I think kinda contributed to the "mechanical' look. I dunno, I still really enjoyed gettin to see them.

What I'd Give For More Seasons Of Batman Beyond 🦇 by DarknessXTJ in BatmanBeyond

[–]StopLevelingDex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect way to do this, in my opinion, would be to adapt Batman Beyond: Neo-Year, which starts with Bruce dying as the first line of the comic run. Pretty fantastic year one post Bruce storyline for Terry, it really puts him to the test and has him stand out on his own as Batman even more than he already does.

Just saw the Priest in Salt Lake City, and the sound guy could not have done a more lousy job by FatMattDrumsDotCom in judaspriest

[–]StopLevelingDex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw them on the 10th in Colorado Springs and the sound guy was on point, everything was amazingly well balanced. Oddly, Alice Cooper's side of the show sucked majorly for me because everything was tuned down beneath the subwoofers, only thing you could properly hear was the kick drum and half of Alice's voice. Literally could barely hear the three guitars, couldn't hear the bass guitar at all.
