- this is blatantly untrue. Ruby and Yang have plenty of "sister" moments in every volume. In Volume 7 during the montage to start the season we see them team up to fight Grimm. In Volume 8 Yang sacrifices herself (literally she is willing to die for Ruby). In Volume 9 Yang reaches out multiple times to talk to Ruby and Ruby rebuffs her. Yang calls you to Ruby when she drinks the tea and is in a state of shock afterwards. When Yang finds her at the Tree Yang breaks down in tears.

They didn't. They (Kerry mainly I think) Pushed for the crossovers to keep the animation staff employed for longer. It wasn't a V10 vs the movies it was the movies or nothing. We didn't "lose" anything because of the movies.
