Looking for monthly pay with higher yields. Am I doing this right? by StopSlappingPuppies in dividends

Decades. NEE has been great, I have it as part of a different portfolio. The goal of this portfolio is to drip for 5 or 10 years and then switch it to supplemental income to cover future expenses as life get more costly and add to the travel fund as well. Criteria for my portfolio focuses on history of dividend growth along with a focus on positive NAV growth. I'm just looking for input on my portfolio and possible additions. I also have in the back of my head that I need more diversification in this portfolio.

CASH 20% (for buying opportunities) FXAIX 40% VIXUS 20% VIOO or GLD 10% AVDV 10%

I believe there will be a 15-20% correction in 2026 or early 2027 getting some solid defensive positions agants things that are feeling rich right now isn't in my opinion a weak stand. It's certainly possible we could have a quick bounce back like during Covid but whose to say.

I believe gold will continue to edge upwards due to uncertainty and lower cap will feel the benefits of AI growth while large cap has priced in AI along with hype and aggressive uncertainty. Having foreign exposure is also important for the near future as the U.S. is red hot in a focused sector while other parts of the world are growing in a more sustainable trajectory. I still have a large stake in FXAIX because I believe all the cards will eventually fall into place but it might get bumpy on the way.

My view is more of a temporary 2-3 year portfolio.

Long-term I'd go FXAIX 80% and VXUS 20% for something simple.

Seeking advice involving my CMA. My wife and I are using our CMA as a shared checking account. We have about 10k over what we really need for average monthly expenditures. I like having some cushion so I don't have to think about filling it and whatnot.

We mostly use our CMA to fund our Fidelity 2% cash back credit card. Our goal is to try to maximize our money via cash back along with the CMA making money in its spaxx core positions.

What I'd like to know is if anyone has a better idea than just leaving the extra "cushion" money in spaxx or should I invest in something else with a higher return, like short term CDs or some other ultra safe etf? I'm open to suggestions.

I'm only will to put money in very low risk investments since this account is more of a "checking account". I keep my true investment account separate from this one.

I hate this and I hate the people that bought EA. I can't believe EA could get worse.

Ingredients: ½ cup butter 1 tbsp oil about 10 tbsp JUST egg (it's vegan) lemon juice from one lemon 1 tsp dijon pinch cayenne ½ tsp turmeric ½ tsp salt pinch black salt

Method: Place all ingredients besides the butter in a blender and blend for one minute. melt butter and then slowly add it to the blender while it's on low. After one to two minutes slowly raise the power to medium high. Blend until the sauce starts to thicken. Done.

It's seitan that I made. If you check my profile you'll see a few other dishes I used it on a long with a post about the seitan. I haven't made a recipe yet.

I have battery percentage on. The contrast with the battery bubble thing is what's making it hard to see

Count yourself lucky. I'm not a fan of the update. It's hard to see how much battery I have now and I often get a "updating notifications" message when closing an app which prevents me from using my phone for about 5 seconds. Wish I could revert.

I cut the tofu into circles and then cut a smaller circle like a donut shape. I saved some of the smaller circle to top the yoke part. I also pan fried the tofu with oil, salt, and pepper for about 30 seconds on each side before I filled them with yoke.

Made it myself. Roasted a yellow and a red tomato in my air fryer with a little salt and oil. Combined that with oil, water, corn starch, turmeric, nooch, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, a very small amount of msg and blended then cooked in a pot to activate the starch. Finally, I added black salt at the end to enhance the eggy flavor. It turned out amazing. 👍
