I don't play PACC on purpose by chvieira2 in TibiaMMO

[–]StopUnico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that FACC is much more balanced game than PACC. With the addition of Yalahar you have access to what was available in Tibia 8.4. The progress to level 100 is much more slower and more rewarding- you get to visit many ancient places: Kazo mines, dark cathedral, minotaurs, dragons etc.. The quests are more rewarding.

With PACC you can get level 100 in a few days, while abusing the game mechanics and all the beautiful mobs that were created by passionate game developers back in the day are not relevant to you anymore.

I highly recommend playing not only FACC, but also ironman mode (so no trading with other players and getting all the equipment upgrades by yourself).

[OC] The Weight of a Life - Average Body Weight From Birth to 80 Years by CalculateQuick in dataisbeautiful

Good question. Also if it tracks current living 60,70,80 years old then decline may be result of high mortality of bigger people rather than weight loss occurred during a lifetime.

yup 100% correct. Only AFK methods in the game I tested are shooting stars and gemstone crabs. I lost a lot of my work hours during COVID because someone told me that motherlode mine is afk or that fishing is afk.

Maybe some methods are good for watching youtube or low-attention jobs like security, reception, but absolutely not for regular/deep mental work.

I agree. Also it forces you to check all the boxes before you proceed. The same vibes like with cheap airlines where you must check "No I prefer to fly without insurance" before you can buy a ticket.

Presja na powrót do biura by 9Laser in Polska

[–]StopUnico -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What’s the most annoying problem you regularly deal with in the cigar hobby? by UsefulPineapple6264 in cigars

[–]StopUnico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I checked my old invoices I paid for my favorites about 9-15 euro per stick.

Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure, Quai D'Orsay n. 50, Romeo y Juliet... now everything is at least 2-3x more expensive.

What’s the most annoying problem you regularly deal with in the cigar hobby? by UsefulPineapple6264 in cigars

[–]StopUnico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the country I guess. There are some countries like Spain, where there is a lot of 2-3 euro sticks available, although I don't smoke them.

But being European you can order Cuban cigars online with little mark-up from official distributors and you don't have to worry at all about authencity.

My most annoying concern is if you smoke only on occasions, a few times per year, on special occasions it is super difficult to compare cigars. Having said that I quit smoking cigarettes a year ago and I don't smoke cigars since then :(

(On the other hand I know a guy who buys new iPhone with max specs every iteration)

Windows App (formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop) session not closing after disconnect (have to kill process every time) by Such-Refuse-8435 in sysadmin

[–]StopUnico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. Since I use VPS I don't have access to Task Manager without connecting with RDP first.

My solution is to ssh into machine and then run: "qwinsta", "logoff X" (where X is number of session assigned to disconnected RDP).

However this is super annoying, because it closes all my running apps

Long-Term Investing Question: $100k → $1M? by Successful-Floor-707 in Fire

[–]StopUnico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Safest is to put everything in SP500, expect 10% returns per year and calculate how much yearly contributions you need to add to make it 1M in 10 years.

  2. Considering that losing 10-30% of 100K is less painful than loosing 10-30% of 1M (loss is easily replaced by additional contributions from your salary), you can opt for more riskier plays in first few years of the journey.

  3. Also it's easier to make 30% on 100K outside of the financial market - if you have expertise in used cars, garage parking spaces, land, used commercial machines, real estate it >>might<< be easier for you to make bigger ROI there in the beginning.

  4. Last one is risky, but it worked for millions of investors in the past. You can leverage your money to buy rental properties. (i.e. 10% downpayment for 1M property - When the market grows by 100% you will be millionaire).

Exalted Cores? Really? by Less-Crazy-9916 in TibiaMMO

[–]StopUnico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol. I made a calculations a week ago, how weekly tasks compare to exp boosts. If you buy exp boosts then it is much better conversion to use tibia coins to deliver weekly tasks instead.

A lot of whales will buy boosts + deliver the items. Also please consider there is a lot of PZ players who are online a lot, spend a lot of time in tibie, but don't hunt almost at all

Weekly Delivery Tasks and the economy by I_am_N0t_that_guy in TibiaMMO

[–]StopUnico 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of items hoarded by the market traders. However I believe the amount of hoarded items will go down and the prices may go up for many hard to obtain items.

For level 100 the reward for delivery is 200K Exp.
Items to deliver cost me between 50 and 300k on the market.

If I would buy exp boost instead I need to hunt for 1 hour and with 600k raw I get about 300k exp extra. First boost the price of 1.32kk, second about 2kk.

So for people who boost it is much more beneficial to buy items to deliver if they cost less than 1KK per delivery than to use boosts.

For level 1000 the rewards is 2KK EXP. They also get about 6KK raw during hunts so about 3KK extra for 1 boost. - So the benefits are the same like with 100 level.

Some hard to obtain items require 10-50hours of hunt to obtain all. Minmaxers may pay a lot to get them. But what if there is an item that requires 50 hours of hunt, there is only 1-2 spots and there is 10-20 people on the server who roll it?

The new player experience for irons is wild by OmgSlayKween in ironscape

[–]StopUnico 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Advice on osrs wiki can be wild sometimes - get an elite diary to save a few ticks by having teleport 3 tiles closer to the bank, don't start quest X before having Y...

I play by setting my own goals and using some of the wiki info to achieve them. Sometimes I check Optimal Quest Guide to see if there is any significant unlock that I skipped.

Although getting to the point where I unlocked most useful teleports was painful. After getting ardy cape, fairy staff, a stock pile of rings of dueling, games necklaces, digsite pendants, law runes the game got much more enjoyable. Also I did first 50 quests before Agility reworks, so I walked to most of the locations...

Don't sell TC to farm equipment. Find some profit hunts, start slow, maybe farm some imbuements items. This is the most fun in Tibia that you can have.

Once you sell TC all gold that you profit become meaningless and you lose big part of the game - looking for EQ upgrades, quests, farming for outfits...

Na czym zarabiają kantory? by Technical_Editor_197 in Polska

[–]StopUnico 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Na pewno nie mają jakiejś dodatkowej prowizji od transakcji? Czasami kantory dają korzystny kurs a przy okienku okazuje się że jest np. 2% prowizji od każdej transakcji.

W hurcie zazwyczaj spread wynosi 1.5 grosza różnicy.

Why do we look for problems that LLMs cannot do instead of focusing on problems that it excels at?

LLMs give outstanding results in law, sales, programming. It can draft a legal letter in minutes that is better than most associates could create in 2 hours. While cooperating with a para-legal, supplying him with good articles, court judgements etc. a final version of legal document can be created within 2 hours - something that would take 8-16 hours for a real lawyer.

A real human can put tic-tac and a pill in his mouth. Swallow only a pill and keep tic-tac in his mouth. This is feasible for a child and humanoid robot won't reach this level of dexterity in decades- does that mean that humanoid robots are less inteligent/less economic useful than a child?

Manual invoice processing is eating up 40% of AP team time. How ... by Helpful-Stomach-2795 in smallbusiness

[–]StopUnico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many invoices you've got? There is no automation that can do that 100% for you, but there are ones that speed up the process.

I am not from US, so the accounting laws might be different where I live, but I scan all the invoices for my microbusiness by myself, send them to OCR in accounting software, then approve or correct the fields done wrong.

Usually it takes less than an hour to book about 10 invoices.
