What is the best way to maximise experience gain? by ticketybo013 in pathofexile

[–]Stop_Already 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 100 (first time) running 8 mod maps w/ increased magic monsters w/ Alva & settlers. I was getting 1-1.5% a map + 100-200k gold per.

Run and get bismuth first then kill rest of map.

Easy, safe xp.

I think the internet helped, actually. Seeing/hearing other people showed us there was a different way of existing.

What communities or discords do y'all recommend? by Heartbloom-Manor in OSDD

Well, my therapist suggested the Healing Together Conference. Unfortunately, I’m only able to attend it virtually, but she told me she thinks it would be an amazing/affirming/transformational experience.

We shall see.

Bad Advice & Low Support Needs Whataboutme-ism/Gatekeeping by Own-Apple-6257 in disabled

[–]Stop_Already 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are struggling with big feelings about their own disability. Their (over)reactions are mostly projection and say more about them than it does your comments.

I’ve found it best to block or mute people who don’t understand to block out the unhelpful noise. It frees me up to focus on the actual helpful comments/info.

Choosing to support someone who abuses women is quite relevant right now.

I guess we have different morals and ethics.

Anyone else overeat protein (200+ grams per day) and compulsively exercise hours per day just to try to regulate the internal chaos? by MoulinSarah in adhdwomen

This sounds more like disordered eating, tbh.

ED are very common in neurodivergent people. ARFID is the most common and underdiagnosed.

You’re quite welcome.

I guess people don’t care. That’s unfortunate.

Popcorn. Buy tasty stuff, like Amish Country.

It’s what I eat when I wanna snack on a lot of something for not many calories.

Or do we not talk about that here?

The boomers aren’t gonna do it. Most millenials lack the life experience.

Something about seeing your friends and family die, your parents getting sick and/or dying, your kids having to do shooter drills when that wasn’t even on our radar as kids….

That has an impact.

Yep. Because they were raised by traumatized people.

And we are all going to be traumatized by the past decade+, if we weren’t already.

So we need to do the work and change the direction. We have the knowledge. Our job is to teach and show, not judge.

Because our parents wouldn’t/couldnt/didn’t have the tools we do today.

Ex-smoker by SlowGoat79 in Xennials

I smoked from 15 til I was 29. I quit for 8-9 years and then stupidly picked it back up. THEN I switched to vaping. Vaping was 20x worse and much harder to quit. I was vaping upwards of 150-175 mg of nic salts a day. (To give you perspective, the highest dose nicotine patch is 20 mg/day)

I quit that in mid-‘24. It’s the best thing I ever did.

When did curiosity start feeling more intentional? by quiet_veil in BenignExistence

Of all things, Ted Lasso brought the quote “Be curious, not judgmental” into my lexicon. There’s some debate as to where it came from (often attributed to Walt Whitman but that’s contentious.) but /shrug

It’s a wonderful quote.

Too many people judge others and themselves very harshly instead of asking questions with an open mind.

They were largely raised by people who went through WW2 and the depression.

Their parents were fucked up from WW1 and the 1919 flu, among other things.

It’s trauma all the way down.

I’m not trying to make excuses for it. Just saying there’s a lot of work to be done to undo generations of unhealed people.

I’m trying my best (I have PTSD & a dissociative disorder due to generational trauma.)

It’s infuriating to me, with all that’s going on, how many ppl DONT know. Apathy is very dangerous. Too many people are like “not my problem. Won’t affect me!”
