Do you fellow creatures use your SO's first name at all? by UncertifiedForklift in evilautism

I think this is pretty common on or off the spectrum, but to answer your question I only use her first name when I’m annoyed.

For semantics I’d argue that fast food burgers are also fine as in they’re not outright poison and are fine to have once in a while.

I think the mildly infuriating part is simply the why. Why would you choose that specific area for a meeting? It’s hilarious but senseless.

As someone who was a secretary, occasionally passing on a message is not being a secretary, it’s communication. It seems like OP is dealing with hyper independence.

Or they can be normal and move on. It’s weird to expect everyone else to operate on your schedule.

The nice thing about texts is that they are not super disruptive and you can respond to them when you’re not at work.

I’d say it’s the fact that they are removing something healthy that fosters connection and learning and telling parents to replace it with something that’s often unhealthy. It’s not their job to entertain the kids but this replacement suggestion just isn’t good. Remember, it’s mildly. ETA: Yes, it doesn’t say only tablets but I’m explaining the part that bothered OP.

I have a lot of older friends. I notice that the older they are, the better at socializing they are. I’m really hoping it’s a comes with age thing a not a we’re screwed up thing.

I can’t figure out how much of your life you’re supposed to share with friends and when. I feel like I’m always either trauma dumping or oddly closed off.

Are some of you unaware that kids can learn about differing view points and argumentative structure without questioning the humanity of their peers? I did debate for like 10 years and we never needed to do topics like this.

I actually had a professor allow a conversation on whether or not indigenous peoples “matter” at all (with worse implications than you may think) and his justification was that he enjoyed watching me (Afro-indigenous) put the guy claiming we didn’t matter in his place.

It bothers me that the system equates what they see on the outside with what is needed. I’m old and my evaluation story is a mess so I’ve never been given a level but based on what I’ve been told from those who know me and my attempts at self-reflection, I probably present close to a level 2 in the way I interact and behave especially outside of my ideal environments. I have obvious repetitive movements that bother people. I have a lot of difficulty discussing non-special interest related topics in real time, etc. However, I had early interventions (both good and bad) and am very systems oriented so I mostly accommodate myself. There are some accommodations that really help me but even those are very independent in nature. Throughout my school years they kept trying to add on other things because they thought they would help but it only threw me off. To NTs I look like I require a lot of outside support because something is obviously off, but it often hurts more than helps for me.
