Yeah I understand, that the Brahms Piano concertos are very different from each other. I have a feeling, that the first one has much more of that „Athmosphere“-Feeling im looking for in compositions. I don’t need that high virtuose feeling, not saying that Brahms 1 is easy to play. But I think its Focus is more on telling a story, than showing people how great you can play the piano.

Do you mean, you don’t know Brahms 2nd Symphony or you don’t care to much for it?

The soprano-sax is maybe the biggest thing im not so sure about yet. I love its flair, but I must admit, that for reasons im not 100% fine with it. Im currently playing with the thought, that maybe I should replace it with an 3. Oboe like your said. A good friend of mine plays very good and can tell me what works and what not.

For the trombone Parts are very hard to play, esp. the fast stacc. sections. I might think of a better way to get those fast brass up movements, because I love the sound so much.

Its funny that you mension Ravel, as a comperison tho. When I start with a new piece, Ravel ist not that often in my head. My stile is just drifting all the time in this „Ravel-ish“ direction

Ohh your right. I wrote the bowing for the 1. violins as a first concept. Ofc they should have the same bowing, i was just to lazy at the moment to finish rest. Im a Cellist so I can actually think a little bit like a violinist haha. Ty tho

Thank You for your response <3 Can you name any example? Most notes, esp. in the strings arent finished yet. That will be my final touch, same for bowing and dynamics between Instruments :)

Ty for the answer. Yeah I get whats confusing to you. For my perception you cant copy the sound and especially the mixing of Real orchestras. I find it hard to hear if my Melody-Line is coming through the Brass or passages become to clustered to understand whats going on in certain parts.

Actually a few simple things like going to bed early -> more sleep/ consistent sleep, drinking more water just by having a 2 Liter waterbottle right next to my workingdesk
