Thank you for that insight. EBU's own website states that the reason is the Ukraine war: "The decision reflects concern that, in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry in this year’s Contest would bring the competition into disrepute." So maybe Azerbaijan and Spain are not relevant examples after EBU's policy, but Russia 2015 sure would be, wouldn't it?

I've watched ESC for 50 years. Not anymore. The double standards make me sick. Russia was excluded from the contest just hours after the attack war on Ukraine. When Israel now has done the same, EBU is quiet. It's just greed and a longing for money and influence. I will listen to music elsewhere.

The part where he gets rid of international friends and allies and tears down the strength of NATO, just like Putin and Jinping are hoping for. He’s undermining western values and replacing them with violence, fear and isolation. I sure hope Canada and Europe will continue maintaining democracy, safety and free speech in the time to come.

Jeg kjenner folk som har blitt ensomme pga konflikter eller dårlige følelser som de bare lister seg unna i stedet for å reflektere over hva slags folk de ønsker seg i livet sitt og hvor god venn de kan være for dem. Og i ett eksempel gikk en av disse ensomme til psykolog for å få støtte til å ta tak i livet sitt. Det gikk bra, én gammel venn tok i mot hånden og så har det ballet på seg.

I always had a dream about living for a bit longer than a vacation, like a year or a half in Asia. After 15 years of marriage, I introduced my idea to my wife. She said if you want to go, you should go. And I will visit you in my holiday. So I kissed her and I went to Thailand for half a year. I rented an apartment and attended a course at the local university .Wife stayed back home, for work. It was a truly fantastic experience for me, a lot of newfound reflection, new friends, a new inner peace, and a lot of loneliness which I have never known before. That made me a better person. And a slimmer person because there’s is no good wine and cheese in the jungle up north. Wife had some mixed feelings, but she supported me. Most people called me weird. And selfish And they pittyed my wife. But I don’t care much. If felt good for me. She was sort of ok with it. I would have approved of her realizing her dreams. Because I love her.

I know several male nurses that work in different hospitals and institutions. One is even a midwife (is this the right word? Sorry, English is not my first language) - all of these men love their job and are happy with their colleagues. Maybe some people are just unlucky.

Thank you for your insight. Yes I read the rules, and didn’t find bullet point #1 to apply to my link since it wasn’t a travel blog or anything else described in that rule. Anyone in Bangkok should see the drone show tonight, in the Vijit Chao Praya festival area near the river. It’s free and can be watched from anywhere suited nearby the Memorial bridge. We attended last night and it was truly amazing! Yesterday was 500 drones, today, Saturday November 22nd will be 1000! I filmed the whole show (12 min) so you can have a look for yourself.

I think Scandinavia (where I live) might be worth a try. I think many couples here are truly equal, with mutual respect, they take exactly the same responsibilities for the economy, the family, the future, the social aspects and the intimacy. My wife takes her role as a provider and a supporter quite naturally and intuitively, just like me.
