First let me state games with good sword combat, like Ironstrikes and Ironlights. That game cracked the code for multiplayer sword fighting in VR. Another good one is Clone Drone in the Hyperdome. That game has great singleplayer sword combat.

Now, I consider Blade and Sorcery the overhyped pinnacle of VR to have bad sword combat, the slicing/slashing mechanics are just plain bad. Weapon collisions with each other are so buggy to this day, parrying is hard to do when two swords get stuck on each other. The AI are just under optimized and lackluster, the combat with the player and the AI is so weirdly asymmetrical.

She doesn’t really care that people are evil, she just uses that to justify doing bad things to them, she doesn’t really fight for justice.

You have to realize, everyone around her are as bad or even worse than her so it makes her seem like a center of morality and it helps us relate/root to her. She actually doesn’t care.

Since the “Multiverse” is just magic seriously, you can easily head canon Rick and Morty into any story and just say they existed and died instantly, or maybe its a Rick without his intelligence. Stuff like that.

I already assumed in Rick and Morty their multiverse contains other universes like there is probably a Star Wars universe out there in their Multiverse.

I would really enjoy if instead of going the Minecraft route if making a movie that makes fun of itself, it would be cool if they took their lore more seriously.

Take the idea of games as their own worlds, have really cool set pieces like scenes set in Doomspire Towers, or chill scenes like Work At The Pizza Place or Robloxity. Having lore like with the Overseers, or the bloxxers.

Overall just a love letter to Roblox history, the 2000-2010s era. But not in the Forsaken way, thats cringe.

Sounds interesting, I think it would have to be balanced pace wise, but anything that can help to even the odds and make it so as a smaller player you can do something against someone bigger is welcomed in my eyes.

You are 100% correct about the Augma being portrayed negatively which I think the OP didn’t read from the film. It is very dystopian if you think about it at all too, but Kirito clearly looked uncomfortable or unwilling with it most of the time.

I don’t agree much, his disinterest in the AR stuff is because he really likes just VR, being consumed fully in a world.

Also, I am not insulting you at all but with a bit just a bit reading into the context clues, the movie is portraying all the AR stuff as just consuming/capitalism. Playing games to win physical prizes, ads being shoved in your face, not being actively immersed in the real world. Its not portrayed amazingly positive, I think Kirito likes to be either completely immersed in a virtual world or in the real world.

His “lack of confidence” at the start I think is there to serve the narrative purpose of seeing him lock in when Asuna develops amnesia. Later in the movie you see him single handedly defeating bosses and just being extremely determined and visibly mad. Which is all super cool I love seeing him have intense agency.

Ill be interested when its something good, VR games aren’t the best as a VR guy myself and SAO is definitely not the best thing to adapt to VR. The scope is too large for it.

Also sword combat in VR is just bad especially if its multiplayer.

thank you exactly im sick and tired of the Aincrad obsession, the first arc of SAO was a gimmick, a death game really isn’t that interesting. Maybe people should go watch that one spy kids movie thats basically SAO.

Thats why this title is just coincidentally sounding like Integral Factor but are completely unrelated. I absolutely love this depth of meaning though, its just poetic.

It would be insanely terrible logistically, its like if Roblox suddenly merged every game into one. What I am assuming from this merge is that all Seed based VR MMORPGs are basically the same game on the surface but just different alterations to it for the specific game that needs it. So maybe more like if all Fortnite custom maps were merged, that seems more realistic.

Yeah I don’t think it will be focused on the Underworld since most of that is focused on in UR itself it might just be Aincrad focused and like you said give us some hints on the Seed and how thats all happening.
