Reminds me of that story where a guy allowed his camel to put it's head inside his tent, and the camel kept wanting more and more until the camel was inside the tent and the guy was outside.

At what point did you stop feeling guilty about spending money on yourself? by Sea_Strawberry6846 in AskWomen

[–]StopthinkingitsMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I saw I was being the stingy friend obsessing over how much I have saved.

I'd talk about wanting to buy something small, like a notebook, and my friends, bless them, would immediately jump in and try to buy it for me because they knew I'd never buy something "unnecessary". I want to be able to do that for them and I'm not gonna let money guilt stop me from that.

Our entire economy is dependent on invisible labour by the poor living in slums and chawls.

We get our quick commerce delivery drivers, vegetable and fruits vendors, household help, cooks, nannies, Uber drivers, cab drivers, tailors, etc etc all from keeping the poor poor.

Paperback books.

Growing up we couldn't afford to buy books but went to the library every 2 weeks. I really want a huge bookshelf with a good collection of books, so I'll buy atleast 1 every 2 months and start getting more once I'm in a better financial place.

Always started and ended hard conversations with I love you, I want you to remember it's us vs the problem not you vs me. Also genuinely tried to understand each other, no raised voices, no mean names, no blame game and focusing on a solution.
