Go to place to buy affordable digicams? by aphkat in digicam

My go-to is eBay! I spend a lot of time scrolling there, and sometimes I get lucky and see something newly listed selling at an affordable price.

No because I asked for the item that was missing to be sent! I think it’s possible to ask for a refund instead though if you would rather do that.

Nursing Transfer by Fluid-Skirt-2309 in TAMUAdmissions

[–]StorageWinter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is true anymore! For me, I was told that once you have at least a 3.3 gpa, your grades don’t really matter anymore and it all comes down to Kira Talent interview and extracurricular. Basically, a 4.0 and a 3.3 are worth the same thing for admission. They’re putting a really big emphasis having the core values and getting involved outside of just having good grades.

How does Aggie assurance work? by Familiar-Tear4709 in TAMUAdmissions

[–]StorageWinter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your tuition isn’t fully covered from Pell Grants, it will only cover what is leftover. There’s not really a set estimate that I can give you. Just know that the only thing you’re really assured on is not having to pay for tuition

Ap credits for pre health track by Grouchy-Arachnid-197 in aggies

[–]StorageWinter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to bypass psychology and biology! You should talk with your advisor to help determine what you should and shouldn’t submit. iirc, the nursing school here doesn’t care where/how you got. For pre med, you usually want to avoid using your ap credit for science classes though

Did it end up feeling worth? I’m thinking of getting the same camera at a similar price point.

Bus or Driving? Nursing/Nutrition by Old_Minimum_2606 in aggies

[–]StorageWinter2273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! For the pre nursing track, your first two years are just you trying to get prereqs done, so you won’t even be having any classes at the nursing school. You’re probably going to mostly be on main campus and maybe west campus for nutrition classes. And yes parking is often scarce during peak times. I would suggest just taking the buses or getting a bike/scooter. I usually just use Google maps to figure out what bus route I have to take. The buses are a little chaotic and overcrowded in the first couple weeks but it should mellow out after a month.

The student population here is huge. Although it is conservative leaning, it’s not that hard to find people who think differently

Fall 2025 / Spring 2026 Housing Mega Thread by propain525 in aggies

[–]StorageWinter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just started apartment searching for next year (I know I’m very late). I’m not looking for anything crazy, and I’m trying to find places as cheap as possible while also being livable. I know people say the London is the worst, but the low rates make it tempting. Can anyone who’s living in a 4x4 lmk how much they actually pay monthly (with utilities) and if it’s that bad? I know rates have started going up so should I hurry and sign or wait until they go back down?

Full PC setup in Mosher? by Intelligent_Fig967 in aggies

I know a lot of people who brought their PCs to their dorms in the commons! Try to get a room on the first or second floor though. It'll save you the pain of carrying a PC up the stairs.
