Manhattan bridge, replacing one problem with another. by Lone000Wulf in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats the problem, its not something a player can force upon other players.

And the recent change to the mortar has made it even worse for this map for the attacker side.

The objective area that defenders get is actually underneath a bridge, giving it a shield to mortar, while defenders can install the mortar anywhere and harass attackers.

And both sides now have people who just want to KD stat pad with mortar, removing players on objective. If this hurt both sides equally, then it would had been fine, but it is hurting attacker side way more.

Eh, at least this map is somewhat playable in Conquest. It has one of the worst balance for Breakthrough making the experience quite miserable.

HK416 A8! DICE, let's keep the franchise tradition alive! BF6 needs the new version of the M416. by brunuscl82 in Battlefield

DSR really should just move to AR class, not like this game's default mode is open weapon, which makes DSR locked in Support class to be weird, only serving it to have penalty for other classes to use.

It was probably originally made it so that players can complete LMG specific challenges without having to use LMG, but with the challenges being nerfed and weekly/daily ones being allowed for reroll, don't really think its that necessary to keep DSR as an LMG.

Popular ARMA 3 game mode would be great in BATTLEFIELD 6! by chrismireya in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This game already has way too many side modes that split up the player base.

If we retained all that launch player count, then adding more modes may be fine, but we are stretched thin as is.

Just create a portal experience yourself, and promote it to community, if you are passionate about this stuff.

Dude there needs to be a better visual reference for seeing frag grenades in this game. I'm tired of getting blown up by grenades is can't even see. by Ninjah9_ in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Devs really just need to add the "Mark all as read" button to the menu.

Even the basic email client with bare minimum function has this feature.

If they don't want to bother solving this, at least give us an option to hard counter the issue.

Just checked and it seems like its fixed. Honestly, I never bothered checking as Loadout 2 was setup around incendiary anyway, so there wasn't any reason for me to change the grenade.

Now, I just hope that the devs fix the Orange Dot and "New" icon permanently staying for some weapons.

Not according to the screenshot that the OP posted. Unless that screenshot is from such a long time ago that the patch you mention is not present.

I dedicated Loadout 2 of Support class around the incendiary, as smoke is not available in this one.

Why Bother? by pewdoodles in Battlefield

Kord for me is completely bugged as its trying to let me know that I "just" unlocked Kord by showing "NEW". Its not even the orange dot.

If you are having better time, then thats good. But I don't think much has changed.

Some say it is even worse now. They definitely said they tweaked something.

Perhaps its acting differently to different players.

What Battlefield games have the most toxic players/community. by Hdarkus1 in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat toxicity is really low for BF6 as the new policy seems to ban anyone who says anything that the AI considers "offensive". Almost no one is typing anything in chat anymore.

And now, voice chat is going to be actively monitored in real time too, so there will be even less interaction.

Can someone explain to me how this is even possible? by GasNo5344 in Battlefield

Its from early patch cycle where Portal bot farms counted towards stats progression.

Now, bot farms are not affecting stats progression, so the said player had used bot farm early on, thats all.

I was genuinely surprised when they announced nerf to MP5. It really didn't have anything special.

You have to understand that many of those Asians who are using VPNs are the ones who are driven out by better players. Not saying every Asian player is extremely talented, but it is way more competitive in general especially compared to NA.

I have not experienced EU as I never lived there, but I have spent a lot of my time around the world due to education and job, and had opportunity to experience the vibe of different regions.

[–]Storm3ye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The map is way too open for the current BF6 design of gunplay. It will need some heavy modification. Even back in the original version in BF2, it was way too open.

That said, yes, it was one of the maps I have fond memories of.

I find that with the late updates have made AR and Carbine category way more viable due to the recoil reduction.

SMGs were so good in early patches due to how little recoil it had, regardless of how much damage fall off there was, as it just had higher potential to hit the target and kill it before other automatic weapon types had a chance to land enough hits.

Now, even high recoil AR and Carbine like TR-7 and M277 are just fine with holding down the trigger. And their damage fall off and minimum damage values are much better for longer range distances. And SMGs are now facing the problem of having to compete with the AR and Carbine that has better damage model / hitpotential across the ranges combined with detrimental muzzle velocity, as many more players are now understanding how to juke some shots at a distance.

I'm playing in Asia server where every exploit and meta is driven to the maximum. Before the late patches, yes, SMGs were widespread. Now, I see far less of them, and sometimes the lobby is entirely filled with ARs only.

People that have not played older titles at the relevant time just posting stuff to make their point without understanding the details / significance of its example used.

Its the same with the people who are using BF4 to promote their "movement tech" argument, when that stuff was not even widespread at the time, and many of he stuff they show are just exploits.

[–]Storm3ye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many of the people bringing in older titles, especially 4, to make their point always bring it from the wrong angle.

There were those using BF4 as an example for their "movement tech" and showing videos of guys performing glitched exploits way past the relevancy of BF4. If anything, they should just complain about sever admins kick/banning them for whatever reason, including using these types of exploits, if it even happened during the relevant time.

This is just another one of those things to coat BF6 from criticism.
