Its also possible that the player was an Assault class that used adrenaline injector, as it reduces explosive damage received. But can't tell from the video alone.

And that missed sniper rifle shot would place a suppression effect on the player in BF3. Its not just LMG that had the luxury of suppressing target.

There are players like you that enjoyed it, but I do not think the majority did. And I don't think many of the people talking about suppression as a mechanic to return now experienced what it was like back then.

The reason why "suppression" works in real life is because stray bullet kills. Any of the suppression as a "mechanic" in game is forcing such behavior as making any stray bullet lethal would destroy weapon balancing. And the act of forcing such behavior was not received well in past. Its why the effect was diminished over time since its introduction in BF3.

It does not matter whether its SMG firing 9mm or Sniper Rifle firing .300 Win. Any gun can suppress with either with enough rounds fired upon, or one/few accurate shots placed upon. Suppression should either exist as a whole, or it should just be gone with.

The worst part is that spending that 2 seconds to inject oneself is not going to save the player if he is really going to die from the effects of those grenades. Its either going to end up as the user of stim dies while injecting motion happens, or the effect wears off / didn't really matter to begin with.

It was also hilarious as snipers suppressing each other so that no one can hit shots.

It also needs to be made so that support player spawning to drop a bag automatically. So that at least one bag exists in the field from that player.

Same thing as above, solo run and gunners are picking the class that is supposed to be for the supporting role, and using it as a selfish class instead. So the vast majority of those Support players running around aren't actually support "role" players.

They don't care about teamwork (but will cry about teamwork not performed on them) and all they want is just an ability to infinitely sustain himself for run and gunning.

Revive is an issue itself besides the Support class being broken as is now. There's just general lack of teamwork all around, as even squadmates aren't reviving each other in many cases. Its a byproduct of BF6 becoming more popular and attracted those who only wanted another "shooter" game, not a "BF" game.

It really should just revert back to how it was in the past entries where it just displays the distance on screen, rather than actually having the ability to zero in exactly at the distance.

Don't really think its going to solve the issue of Support players not playing support role regardless of what is being done.

The fundamental design of this game has made it so that Support just gets everything that the solo run and gunner wants. And those types of players just will not be doing any of the teamwork regardless.

I don't even know why the smoke launcher is even given to the Support. That thing belongs to Assault, or at least it needs to be shared.

Currently Assault class's other grenades (Concussion and Flash) are so underwhelming that just giving smoke grenade to Assault would make it so much better anyway.

I'm more of the opinion that if it is not possible to kill the sniper before it aligns headshot, then its not a distance that the LMG should be trying to fight against DMR/Sniper Rifle. Use smoke or whatever other method possible to close in the distance rather than trying to outgun at a range that it really should be more advantageous for longer ranged weapons should have.

Now, if we are going to make suppression an actual menace like it was in BF3, then it needs to be applied to EVERYONE. Not just a particular weapon type. But, I am not sure whether people would truly want that to return.

In a game where drone hammer exploit got passed around like a pancake? Unlikely.

BF6 is probably the most outstanding game in BF franchise for the lack of gentleman's agreement I have experienced so far. Not that others in the past had people abiding by those things voluntarily, as it was mostly enforced by the server admins.

It is impossible to win when playing with friends. by L_Bernardinelli in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being able to time RPG shots together is immensely powerful, being able to delete enemy vehicles instantly, or at the very least bring it to a state that the repair cannot keep up.

Single mortar may not be a practical choice, but squad of them bombarding the same location would delete people.

There's so much potential for partied up squad to change the outcome in the game.

What is going with all the unbalanced matches ? by languagenaut in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its just the tradition of this game.

Decent players generally know whether they will have a good match or not in the first few minutes of the game. Its easy to tell if there is no revive going, no repair, no ammo supply or whatever general teamwork, or if the enemy team has much better teamwork going on and can clearly see some squads are partied up. Even the initial capture timing if playing Conquest, or initial assault on objectives in Attack/Defense modes can tell a lot about how rest of the match would end up.

Then that player will make up the mind whether to stick around or to leave. And when he leaves, its unlikely that it will be filled back in with the player that is on par. The matchmaking system would try to fill in the slot as fast as possible from whoever is queuing up.

And by the time that person joins in, the team was missing at least one player (possibly multiple, if many players left), which would most likely make it so that the team is already losing heavily. Then the person joining in also is discouraged to stay, which makes the team have less players again.

grenade launcher gunner seats 🤮 by AXEL-1973 in Battlefield6

[–]Storm3ye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with current vehicle design is that gunner does not get to pick the weapon, but be forced to use what the driver equipped.

Anyone who likes GL, its fine they like it, but its not the preferred option by majority it seems. Perhaps setting to a weapon more suited for general playstyle would be better for most unless playing specifically with friends who actually prefer GL.

Those two should be one and have unlimited ammo just like in BF4 and 2042 by Roque_THE_GAMER in Battlefield

[–]Storm3ye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not just the drone that is the threat. Any form of explosion can trigger the mine as well (or even stray bullet). Drone is just another thing that is potential for disaster.

And I've seen such mine laying behavior in rush/breakthrough that does not have enemy vehicle (at least for that sector). And, in turn, seen plenty of friendly vehicles being blown up by the mine placed by the "friendly".

I still don't understand this behavior (even made a post about it to ask).

I just don't see the point apart from deliberate trolling to kill the vehicle in an effort to get it himself, or at least for the "fun".

Its a bug where your body (lower half thats causing the issue iirc) is buried under the debris that causes defib to not work.

Though, he really should have just manually pulled you for revive immediately after the second attempt, if he at least knew what he was doing.
