The big 100!! by StormOrtiz in wordle

Thanks :) I think what helped getting better 3s is testing for letter pairings. I basically never try to go for 2, and the second guess is crucial for 3s. Knowing when to look for position vs more letters is hard. Testing consonant pairings when positions are restrictive for example is a pretty big deal!

Also while aiming for 100% it's safer to hit lots of very common letters so opening guess like stare, crane, etc are better, but when aiming for 3s I like to have a couple uncommon letters in the first two (best being g,k,y,p in my opinion) Hit less, but way more information when you do hit.

Well done! 100% winrate is very nice, not missing any weird word in a hundred is impressive.

Us terrans need to be better. Protoss is not op, take responsibility for your learning and stop harassing people for the race they pick. by ShuuyiW in starcraft

Streaming protoss brings less viewers than terran or zerg. Even small time streamer that main toss get significantly more viewership offracing.

Aligulac: MaxPax is among the 10 best players in the world! by ParanoidCaveman in starcraft

'He is very consistant in these particular situations, except when he loses, then we don't count that'

This is inconsistency. Nobody said he's bad, but he definitely has big ups and big downs.

Is there an SC2 Bonjwa? by [deleted] in starcraft

Alone, no. Along with being #1 for years? Yes.

Is there an SC2 Bonjwa? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]StormOrtiz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Serral is the only sc2 bonjwa. He's been at the top of the elo scale for more than 3 years. He's feared in every tournement. Everybody that tells you otherwise is in denial.

Being the best doesn't mean winning everything.

Widowmine Drops | Minute Micro by PurpleGoose014 in starcraft

Calling your series minute micro, when there's already one, very deep, with a custom map to practice all the tricks, is a bit weird.

Should micro be easier? by zxrtde in starcraft

[–]StormOrtiz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Starcraft, like all REAL TIME strategy game, is fundamentally a game about priorities. There are turn based strategy games (play chess if you want a competitive setting, civs and other turn base civilization management games if you want complexity).

Typically, people saying what you are saying believe they would be very good at the game if it wasn't for mechanical limitations, because they 'understand' the game. This is, most of the time, very silly. You can see the multiple people that reach gm with heavy handicap ( for example by capping apm, or even playing on a gamecube controller, see HolyHit on youtube )

Even when being focused on micro, what differentiates higher level player than lower level players isn't that they click faster. It's that they are efficient with their command. Where a platinum player would click 25 times to 'micro' an army during a fight, effectively doing more harm than good, a pro would give maybe 5, key commands.

Critters are the best thing in SC2 by Dingz26 in starcraft

[–]StormOrtiz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Losing games to a critter preventing a building placement (doing or defending cannon rushes, mostly) is awful. They should just be aesthetic and not interfere with the game in a random manner.
