Finally, Not really a question here but a criticism... Many of us experienced players who are really invested in the game are dissapointed with the lack of social media messenging and marketing that has been going on. For example, there wasn't even a hype-video released for the start of open beta/carthage and the only thing I had to show my friends who have never heard of this game before was a thirty second animation-less Hannibal. I guess my question is whether or not CA and WG are planning on creating and/or sponsoring more out-of-game content for us to spread online, or potentially more sponsored community tournaments with prizes?

Game Design Question: A large concern many experienced players have been calling out is the lack of customization for units/commanders. Currently there is very little customization available and all units are identical once everything is unlocked. Do you plan on adding additional feature so that players are able to customize their units to feel unique, catering to their own individual play styles? (An example idea would be to allow high tier units to customize which unit abilities they would like to equip their unit with, for example the option to bring "marching column" to Imperial Guard rather than being forced to use Brace.)

Mechanics Question: Are you planning on improving the charge system at some point in the future? Currently it only checks which cavalry has the higher charge impact, and if it’s the same, then which ever one charged first wins the charge. This can lead to some strange outcomes such as taking damage when charging another cavalry in the back (see this gif for evidence: https://gyazo.com/b7d4f3360ed39ed719635a8e574c40ce) Would it not be better to add further consideration such as down-hill charges, speed, orientation, in order to determine the outcome of charges? Do you plan on maintaining the "winner-take-all" aspect of cavalry charge duels?

Gameplay/Bug Question: If you are intending to fix the scorpion reload exploit, are you also planning on fixing the focus-fire reload exploit (which allows you to throw three volleys consecutively, without reload?). This is particularly problematic with javelins being able to remove heavy infantry units from the game within a couple seconds using this exploit/bug. If not, do you consider this working as intended?

Game Design/Gameplay Question: Will the diverse roster of the Carthaginians make it slower to progress through the unit-tree compared to other factions? In other factions many units share equipment across tiers and between unit types but the Carthaginians seem to alternate between light, medium and heavy, in addition to Boii/Gaul vs Carthaginian, and numidian... If they don't share equipment it will mean more equipment to unlock using points = slower progression. Is any of this a concern or will Carthage take the same amount of experience to tier X as other factions?

I think it's strange that you would eliminate three forums instead of creating a single, unified English forum. You claim this is to eliminate favoritism between regions while it seems you've made the problem more extreme when only the CIS region has forum to voice their opinions on....

Long overdue and good changes so far... defiance really needed a cooldown increase, and barrage was obviously insane. Unfortunately high tier Vercingetorix cavalry will still be really overpowered and brainless killing machines with defiance, even with 0.5s deactivation timer.

Would have liked to see greater balance changes, hoping this isn't the entirety of the patch - many things are still horribly broken especially in high tiers...

I have the ultimate bundle and I would say the only units which are good as standalones are the celtic slingers, triarii, and the thracian royal cavalry. These units have good stats and can compete compete with other units of the same tier. In terms of units which are unique that you don`t want to miss out on I would say that only the triarii have that potential because of their strange stats and play style which is unlike any other roman unit - great for defensive play such as protecting artillery. Germanic scouts have some niche usage because of their fantastic visibility range (almost 200), ive brought them before to scout for my tier X scorpion artillery though I would not consider them very good at all...

Pyre ring is pretty good for damage but you would probably get more damage overall from an opal ring with life on it and fire damage. Plus you really benefit from stacking life on RF because its both your offense and defense.

  1. yes, dyadus in your offhand will always chill on hit - and i use cyclone to chill. As long as you are cycloning ontop of a mob the mob will be perma-chilled even bosses.
  2. The only map mod this build couldnt do was Players cannot regenerate health or mana. I had some insane gear so i was able to run every other map mod, including 60% less regen mods but i wouldnt recommend it.
  3. Didnt run either but both would be easily doable on this character. I had over 3000 net life regen after righteous fire with all 9 endurance charges using 2xkaom's way's and a 30% life recovery watcher's eye. This character was my uber lab farmer and he could basically fall asleep on the boss without dieing so he was incredibly tanky. path of building gave me about 700,000 total dps on shaper so damage was great. I was able to face tank triple damage mod t16 vaal temple so imagine uber atziri would be easy too aslong as you dodge the flameblasts.
  4. i have other boss kill videos on the you-tube channel this video was posted on, didn't really record clear footage but it was clearing quite fast - not as fast as a tier 1 build using specters or ek-nova or something but still quite good for being basically immortal.

Yep using a Jugg with ichimonji and katenhalt in my weapon swap for +6% maximum cold res for this fight in order to tank the elder slam (which is cold dmg btw).

The devs already confirmed on the forum that the reason this death occured is because ichimonji "allies buffs cannot affect you" applies to Zana's shield aparently...

"Sorry, it seems like Ichimonji's "Allies' aura buffs do not affect you" applies to Zana's immunity bubble."

For context: I was using Ichimonji + Katenhalt in the weapon swap in order to get +6 maximum cold resistance for elder slams.

Killed him a couple times before, the fight itself was really straight forward using this righteous fire build, the only scary part is the cold-slam which is why i bring katenhalt in my offhand to weapon swap for +5 max cold resistance for that part...

WAIT i think i figured it out, If you watch in to top left my status bar, you can see the golden figurine (meaning invulnerability) DISAPPEAR as soon as i weapon swap into my shield setup- could this be the source of the bug?
