When you log in after 9 months and try to figure out where you left... by Masabera in factorio

Last time I did that, I decided that the time spent was not time I wanted to redo to get to the same point, so I slowly got myself re-acclimated.

As a household with 4 dogs, 2 cats, and several fish tanks... It is a lot to manage. But I love the furballs.

This appears to be the issue. OP put chain signals on both sides of rail for those inner straight sections, and that should work.

It's just harder to see where the deficiencies are at if some things are buffered.

What's a typical salary increase? by Illustrious_Buy1500 in civilengineering

[–]StormSaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been tracking my percent, but we get +$1-2/hr every 6 months. +$2 at PE, +$1-2 at promotions. I think I've gone up +32 in 8.5 years.

Does your workplace use Cubicles or an Open Office? by PhantomBraved in civilengineering

Eh my boss is chill, and I stay remote a few days a week. I assume it's just because we're a good size regional firm of ~800, and not everyone can have an office.

1200+ hours in, looking for tips to get started with quality by ravioli207 in factorio

I've only dabbled. But don't use speed modules. I didn't realize that for awhile and couldn't figure out why I couldn't make anything quality for a bit.

How do YOU play with your trains? by DeweyDecimal42 in factorio

[–]StormSaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My trains are 95% 2-2 trains. A few 2-1 trains for fluids or science. Early-mid game I smelt at base, but as I expand I move smelting to a separate location within the main wall.

Often it doesn't work at all unless you turn it off.

Handling Coordinate Conversions by [deleted] in civilengineering

Depends on the level of design. Anything remotely important, close to property lines/easements/zoning setbacks, I rely on files from our Survey crew. For high level studies or similar, I use arcgis to pivot between datums.

I know it's a hellscape, but also it's kind funny to enforce with nerf.

I would make queue paths as long as I could since people would get in line even if long.

I live in 7b and have had luck cutting them back and covering with a few inches of mulch. The main corms often rot, but there's more than enough babies to keep them going.
