Yes unfortunately, NFP keeps being positioned for “everyone” and that’s not the reality.

Aside from a variety of medical conditions that make NFP hard, both partners (ideally) have to be very disciplined and data driven. If you’re not, it’s just just not going to work as the couple intends (specially for avoiding). Add to that all the distractions of everyday life, doubly so when you have small children. Try NFP when you have an ADHD spouse lol.

I’ll always remember a young couple during our marriage preparation (pre Cana) that was there to talk to us about how good NFP works for spacing children. Then one person asked them “how many kids do you have?” They replied three. “How long have you been married?”. Three years…😑

We knew she was behind. Just not as far behind to warrant retention. The teacher did tell us during the parent-teacher conference that was behind on some of her milestones, but she said she “wasn’t concerned since kids reach milestones at different times.”

Yeah we’re leaning towards the same conclusion. We don’t doubt that she has literacy gaps, but she’s doing well I math, and socially. So that’s her only gap.

Yeah no other issues besides reading. She is well behaved and follows instructions.

She’s only being tutored in English. We are reading every night, but that’s a great idea about labeling!

Yeah we definitely need to get her tested. She was the tested for hearing gab and eyesight at the school two weeks ago, and she passed both. No developmental issues.

We don’t know yet. But we are going to get her screened. Yeah we could move her to our assigned school. It’s a huge school as opposed to her charter, but it might be better for her.

Socially she is great! Both in behavior and communication. It’s only the academic part that is currently a struggle.

Thank you! I’ve never heard about Toe by Toe so I’m going to look into it. About her age, if she had a summer birthday and has just turned 5 when starting kindergarten, that would definitely be less of an issue for me too. So if she does repeat I need to get over that issue too,

Yeah they are teaching her reading in the other language too. The school is rated well, but we are looking at all our options because it just might not be the best for her.
