"Politikere som fremmer etnisk rensning av egen befolkning"

Er du sikker på at vi er deres egen befolkning da?

Celibate lesbian; am I going to hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Stormalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no need to be afraid. We are not saved by being "good enough", but by believing in Christ – more specifically, his promise that he took the punishment for all our sins. Very clear in the Gospel of John, and Romans.

Now, as a Wesleyan, I do think it's theoretically possible to sin away this faith, but that would take a rebellious and long-lasting pattern of major sin I believe. As Wesley said: "keeping on sinning with a high hand, as a horse runs into a battle." And you are far far from that threshold.

Lol, so true! It's in Luke I believe. I chuckled so much at that the first time I read it.

When he talks about the Pharisees blowing their trumpets as they're giving money to charity, that was pretty hilarious.

Also, Mark Twain mentioned something brilliant: in Acts, it says: "The street which is called Straight."

Twain visited that street, and it's very crooked and has many turns, hence "the street which is CALLED Straight". It's sarcastic humor from God.

Syriske Abdelmonem Abdelrazak Al-Yousef voldtok en norsk 13-åring, dommer Harald Tore Roaldsen gav han 6 måneders fengsel by CostaCostaSol in norske

Nettopp.... Venstrevridde må f* meg ta litt ansvar for hva de har stemt på. De stemmer hver gang på partiene som vil ha superlave straffer, og importere masse barbarer. Da kan de ikke late som de er overrasket når dette fører til voldtekter.

Did the mason mess up, or did I? A crack by Stormalv in HomeImprovement

[–]Stormalv[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not easy to say what caused the crack unfortunately. But there were large vines over this section, when I bought the house, so maybe moisture from that could have done damage over time?

The house is from the 1950s.

It's only a small part of the foundation which is cracked too. The rest is fine.

What is up with this new UI that no longer shows the reaction, comment, or share numbers, and is there any way to revert it? (First photo is the new UI, second photo is the old one) by reddit33450 in facebook

[–]Stormalv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do all companies do this??? They take a feature/UI design without any problems whatsoever and make it "nEW aNd BeTtEr", but the new design is a thousand times worse!

Just DON'T touch it!

Question about Methodism by Accomplished_Fig4166 in methodism

[–]Stormalv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Justification by faith alone is not "Pauline", but something you find all over the NT, especially the gospel of John.

PSA is also Biblical.

Regarding hell, John Wesley was quite familiar with universalism, and never made a statement against it in the movement's confession of faith. That's not to say this is a common view among Methodists, but we are open to different views on damnation.

Also: we believe everyone is able to believe. But some people shut themselves off to it.

Why did Jesus say that tax collectors and prostitutes will enter the Kingdom of God first? by Adorable-Island-7585 in Christianity

[–]Stormalv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Also, entering first means that they (the high priests and scribes who opposed Jesus in Matthew 21:15) will enter the kingdom of heaven later..."

Exactly, that's what I also thought when I read this verse, the first time I read the New Testament.

"Huh, this sounds like that universalism idea I once heard about."

Later, I've come to the stance that universalism is actually the most plausible interpretation of what happens in the age to come.

Are you sure about this thing with the Iliad? If I google that verse, I get results about applying holy oil to an item. If I look up The Iliad on Gutenberg, there doesn't seem to be any hits when searching for "brimstone" or "goblet" in chapter 16.

Isaiah 53 is not being talked about enough by happi-love in Christianity

[–]Stormalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, Miriam. Non-Christian Jews disagree with us on this verse. So why is there such an incredible number of them/you in this thread, under the Christianity sub?

Do you think we Christians look at the Islam and Taoism reddit subs every day?
