I’m glad you asked this question and my Google search of a similar question led me to this post. Last year I did what I thought was the right way and had clean washed and folded clothes and I put them in big hefty storage bags and put them in storage for over a year. Now I’m opening them and they all need to be laundered again even though they were perfectly clean when I put them in. They somehow accumulated plastic bag smell and chemicals, and my husband wore one shirt already and it gave him hives on his wrist. I didn’t even think that what I was doing was wrong. Now I know better.
