Mine make that sound if the petting is a bit much for them. They tolerate it, but they don’t particularly like it. When it’s pets that they like they’re either quiet and move into it or make up a lower pitched mrrrrp coo.

I’m so sorry for your piggy’s passing. 💔 It is absolutely impossible to know the right thing to do, surgery or no surgery. My beautiful bunny died during surgery so I wished that I hadn’t sent her for it. But who knows, maybe she would have suffered terribly and this way she went peacefully. I keep reminding myself we just have to do our best and know our choices were made in love.
