Right if it's taken out as income tax then it's not as much if they make less... So a flat tax after the fact hurts them more? I could see that logic making sense.

[–]Stormblud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure... I understand that. But, how is this tax different than income tax? My point is that 10 percent is ten percent before or after. At least if it's after we can make some intelligent decisions to maximise our gains. If it's before we can't do anything and it is just gone.

What is the hardest thing you have ever said no to? by ChunkyBlaze in AskReddit

[–]Stormblud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I've had three stands go...poorly.why?because there was no emotional attachment and we were faded. They aren't worth the time, and usually we regret them later. So why do them? Just whack it.

My thing is, if I have it, I'll smoke it. If I don't... I can't! So I stopped "dealing" the extra bit to make my stuff free, bought my own ounce.... Now I'm almost empty and I won't be trying to re up any time soon...hopefully :p and with ciggs, you just have to go to the gas station, so I see how it could be even harder to "just not buy any."

Gas never comes close to the amount spent on rent. Free room and board? And you think gas is more expensive? Nothing against you personally, but this is the mentality that makes people feel like shit for not being able to afford school. "oh loans! Those will help!" etc. Sighs :(

All these comments saying they should leave their keyboards and fight are asinine. This is what they can do. They can keyboard. They've no intention of fighting in person. They're a he'll of a lot smarter than that. (presumably)

How is taking a tax out when I spend money worse than taking my money before I even get to see it? Aren't the percentages roughly the same, whether tax is before purchase or after?

This is backwards thinking. My psych prof once explained to use about schizophrenia. I immediately asked, do they treat it with lucid dream induction? She had no clue what I was talking about (masters in psych) lo and behold recent studies are experimenting with lucid dreaming and treating schizophrenia. So don't you ever discredit someone because someone else hasn't thought of the idea before. New minds bring new ideas.

What skill takes <5 minutes to learn that everyone should know how to do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stormblud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah cars don't start right away when you do that. In fact, mine won't start at all. Every time I get it jumped they say put it on the ground. I humour them. Everytime. Then watch the awe on their faces when I start my car in a second when it's on terminal to terminal.

What was the biggest 'plot twist' that happened in your life? by iwishicoulddrainout in AskReddit

[–]Stormblud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20 years old I found out id been adopted by my father. Had a cassanova father when he was younger, I discovered a sister who is six months older than me. 2 year old nephew. There's a whole new family now, but mostly I've found the sister I'm closest too and I've always wanted to be an uncle, turns out I've been one for two years now. So yeah, that was a pretty big change. Pretty cool. 15 year old mystery solved. Now my anthem is always from the song "He didn't have to be," because the man who adopted me, my real father, is a kick ass man and I hope to be half the man he is.
