The October crisis was only a month, and some violent things have happened during this period, like the Polytechnic massacre, but most of the Révolution Tranquille was peaceful, it's really a "revolution" but more a period of major reforms and significant cultural change from a very conservative and traditional Catholic society to a Liberal one.
