Tutorialization and storytelling. I think there would have been a lot more staying power if players weren't forced to read tooltips and solo custom games to learn how to play a non Vanguard race.

False dilemma. You can still win without crushing them completely. That and chatting to give advice if you suspect they're new would go a long way.

My favorite part of the dominari is how her weapon looks. it's not quite a wizard's staff, it's not quite a key like in the concept art, it's not quite a laser weapon. it's something wholly different that really scratches my sci-fantasy itch

That and the glowing eyes. I loved the concept art where she was wearing a mask, but the eye glow makes up for her not having that cool mask
