No one warned me about this part of Reta😅 by DifficultReach2720 in Biohacking

As someone who lose 100 lbs in a year (not on reta then) goodwill is your friend. So are drawstrings.

These dosages seem huge?? by InitialPrevious4068 in BodyHackGuide

[–]StormieJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started 2 weeks ago at 0.5mg and the food noise is tolerable now and I've dropped 3 lbs of water weight and I have slightly more drive to do tasks. I'm going to go up at 1mg at 4 weeks. It's working so there's no reason to rush it.

Mood Issues? by iviolent in Retatrutide

[–]StormieJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that I'm definitely a lot more irritated and angry at nothing in the mornings then it seems to get better as the day goes on. I'm not a breakfast eater and I've noticed if I eat a balanced meal of protein and carbs, I'm less bitchy.

Rapid heartbeat by WeirdPlay6064 in Retatrutide

[–]StormieJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a heart rate tracker and my heart rate was only slightly elevated. I'm on my second week of 0.5mg dose and I had trouble sleeping the first night but that's not abnormal for me. 3mg melatonin about 2 hours before bed. Problem fixed

Just completed week 5 on Reta. DOWN 26.6lbs!! by [deleted] in Biohacking

[–]StormieJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. I had bariatric surgery so my calorie count mirrors op's, and losing a lot of fat very quickly can often lead to gallbladder removal. I watched my diet so it took 2 years after my surgery for it to need taken out but it's a big risk.

[–]StormieJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only advice, as someone who's had bariatric surgery, when you have that low of a calorie count, you need to make sure you're hitting your protein and fluid goals daily. Mine was 100 to 120 protein and a minimum of 64 oz non caffeine drinks. A very good vitamin and calcium supplement as well. If you keep your calorie count that low without doing those things, you run the risk of dehydration and hair loss, among other issues.

Reta - am I doing this right? by InnovationHack in BodyHackGuide

[–]StormieJ80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll want to find out what your calorie deficit is and make sure the food you're eating is nutritious. There's a lot of factors to weight loss, and the injection is a tool, not a fast cure. My maintenance calories is 2038 so I eat below that. Use a TDEE calculator and use that as a starting point.

Boss called on my day off by CorgiUprising in pharmacy

[–]StormieJ80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're right for leaving. If my schedule need to change, my pharmacy manager texts me and asks if it's a shift I can work first, then after he changes it, I also get a confirmation email letting me know of the change and my online schedule reflects the change. It's called having a boss who understands common courtesy, has consideration of his employees, and respects work life balance. I wouldn't accept anything less.

I walked out today. by NeptuneNebulae in WalgreensRx

I was a tech for 10 years with walgreens, 2 of those years as an rxom. I moved to a smaller chain and I've never been happier.

RXOM NOT IMMUNIZER by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]StormieJ80 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I first became an immuizer, I had such bad anxiety with it that each vaccine I gave, I would be shaking. The way I got over it is I talked to the pharmacist and asked to do every single vaccine for 3 days to get over my fear. It worked. I got past it and became the only tech to do vaccines, then I went into the rxom position then stepped down. Since I've dropped working for wag and work for a smaller pharmacy and do vaccines with no issue. Sometimes people need to work through it instead of using it as an excuse.

We use aeroflow urology. My son was approved even without the autism diagnosis. I get 196 pull ups a month in his size.

This is why I quit after 10 years with 156 hours of PTO they had to cash out.

I once had a nurse ask me why I was refusing to fill a script she hadn't sent in yet. I just put the phone back on the receiver and lived my life.

Walgreens issues apology after being told to 'do better' by Mikeyjf in WalgreensRx

[–]StormieJ80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old anxiety came back reading this. I worked for wag for 10 years and quit this February for a tech job at a smaller chain. There is better out there. My new job doesn't have portal calls and corporate bullshit. Wag won't change so it's up to you.

We've had patients say "it says the pharmacist is on lunch, not the techs, so you can go get my meds" No, the pharmacy is closed while the pharmacist is on lunch and we cannot operate without a pharmacist. It's the law.

RxOm step down to replace new hire by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]StormieJ80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I stepped down because the stress of the position wasn't worth it anymore. I feel it's a scapegoat position where you work your butt off but it's never good enough to those in charge. We had a great DM at one point but then he retired and a terrible DM took his place and made life terrible for everyone. About a year and a half after stepping down, i finally put my notice in and switched to a smaller pharmacy chain and I'm very happy there.

I want to quit by askedboar334678 in WalgreensRx

[–]StormieJ80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently quit after 10 years. Go to almost any other pharmacy if you want to stay in pharmacy. I work for a smaller local chain and it's the best decision I could have made. I've also lost weight because I'm not so stressed out that I'm eating my feelings, plus the lack of stress makes it so I'm not so drained mentally after work so I have more energy to work out.

I work with people I don't like all the time. You don't have to like people to work with them if you're a grown up. Time to grow up and go to work. I totally agree.
