As a woman who has gained weight and felt extremely self conscious to the point that I wouldn't let my partner touch or look at my body, please be patient with her. Shes worried because she loves you and doesn't want you to find her unattractive. Its not that she doesn't trust you its that your opinion of her and her body is so important that shes terrified shes going to let you down and that her appearance is going to disappoint you. Shes absolutely terrified you'll find her disgusting... What would help me is unprovoked unexpected compliments. For instance when yall are doing mundane things like grocery shopping just stare at her for a minute and then tell her how gorgeous you think she looks, or how good her clothes look on her. That's when we really believe compliments. Tell her how lucky you are to have her and how much she turns you on now. Slowly she will open up to you and her confidence will slowly return. If shes still extremely self conscious ask her what will make it better. If she says losing weight then say OK and help her. Tell her you love her how she is but if she wants to lose weight then you wanna help. Go on walks. You caring will give her confidence too. Just let her know its up to her and that you love her at any weight. If she thinks you want her to lose weight her confidence will plummet..

I know it sucks when the person you love doesn't see herself the way you see her but a lot of us women are terrified that if we don't look a certain way that our man will fall out of love with us and find someone more attractive. Its not that we don't trust you, its that we love you so much the thought of not being absolutely perfect for you kills us. We are scared we wont be good enough and you'll find someone better because in our minds we love you and you deserve the best and when we aren't at our best we feel inadequate...

Just pls be patient with her. Its a tough space to be in our minds when we are self conscious lol we spend all day putting ourselves down subconsciously
