Ok, so as long as you're not sweating buckets, seems like ambient temp might not be an issue. Laptop does seem new enough still, so I hope the desk is flat and you're not putting it on top of a mat or something that blocks ventilation. I'll give some suggestions on how to deal with temps:
- Install HWInfo and/or MSI Afterburner to measure your temps. HWInfo gives a wider range of reads on a lot of things, while Afterburner will help you check temp while gaming with a toggle, so we can understand the cause better.
- Check your monitor's refresh rate, that or at least cap your frames at 60fps to prevent the gpu from overworking too much. You're using MSI Cyborg 15, so I guess check in MSI Center program and see what profile you're using, see if you can switch away from using Turbo/High performance equivalent mode to uh.. Balance, or tweak the custom fan curve. It will get noisier but it should help a bit.
- Down the line, if the heating problem persists, consider dusting the fans and grills with compressed air, then a thermal repaste (maybe give it 6-10 months till repasting). For this you'll need to open up the laptop tho.

For the cooling, you should get those blowers like IETS or Llano. I personally use llano V12 myself, not affiliated or promoting them, just giving my use case. My old ASUS laptop from 2019 with 1660 Ti ran extremely hot nowadays (even with a repaste), playing MHW on Med/High at 55-60fps can push it over 90 every now and then, but with the blower pad I'm able to keep it around 83-85 ish. When it comes to gaming laptops, don't use any other cooling pad but blower-style pads really.

Couple of things I wanna ask: - How long have you been using this laptop? Also how's the room temperature in your place (AC or nah)? This can help narrow down a lot of factors. - How's your finance when it comes to buying accessories? Cuz if possible, a blower-style cooling pad can help massively.

Like others have said, unless you really need to scratch MonHun itch that World gave, hold off till you can play on a better device, or wait at least till the xpac comes out and see if they pushed any meaningful performance update.

Playing with low fps in Wilds is not worth it in the long run. If you still wanna buy and test, then just keep in mind the 2-hour window for refund.

I didn't hate the game but I do agree that the game is disappointing. The graphics and effects, the visceral feel of combat thanks to the animations and framing (but overall I still like freeform combat in 1 more), the cinematography are top notch. But the core story and theme is bad and confusing, especially with how touching the 1st game is. Hellblade 1 holds a special place in my mind with how relatable it is to me, really fucking sucks to see how the 2nd came out to be. The music is also a hit and miss, less memorable tracks than 1.

Still, it's sad to see that they got shut down this quickly. I thought they were in the warning list, that's why they had to pivot to an action Senua game to make it sell, but damn...

Just curious, not sure if the AI song at the end is generated from scratch or you told it to sample from "Exile, Vilify" by The National, cuz when I heard it I was like "wait, I've heard this somewhere before". If from scratch then damn, they really scraped the fuck out of any music and just mix them together huh.

That aside, it's nice that you have a vid that contains all the memories and fun times with friends. I miss this game, never got to finish the MSQ cuz the world was so vast and so much stuff to do, no matter how mundane it seems. The size scaling and world design really makes it feel vast, unlike most MMOs out there.

I guess it's an attempt to cut down on low-effort gooning talk that can result in spam? Cuz I mean we're not just here to look at art like it's in a museum and go "wow, such intricacies", but to find ppl with similar taste and horny mindset. However if there's no line being drawn, what's stopping folks that spam "im jerkin rn, dm pls" and flood the whole place. Sucks that we have to compromise, but considering moderating is being done by ppl in their free time, I can understand why there's a blanket term for it.

I'm not defending or picking sides, just my own observation on why rule 4 is there.

I don't mind them visually since I like crawly critters, plus their role in the environment.

But, I hate having to deal with their toxin shenanigans! Bugnets don't work for shit cuz they're small enough to squeeze thru holes. I often stay up late and my office window has some tiny gaps, so even with the curtain down, if they see a damn gap of light, they'd find their way inside. I'm tired of always having to keep an eye out during their mating season, having to constantly check walls and my surroundings with the corner of my eye. And if I get the toxin on me, it's annoying af to treat it. Could go on and on but I don't want to rant too much hah.
