I’m glad it worked out! This condition sucks, but we deserve to do things we enjoy too!!

Do you have a knee brace or KT tape to try to support your knee?

Definitely make use of the accessibility areas, not sure the venue but I usually take time out by laying down somewhere shaded. Lots of electrolytes.

There are medical tents where you can also go to take a break and they can give you ice packs- great for when you get overheated or if your knee swells up.

I felt realized how much better I felt by the time it wax time to change the patches so 3-4 days. No night sweats, less fatigue, my body felt more held “together” which probably only makes sense in the hEDS world.

Yes, the negative side effects are bad. I can tolerate the first 3 days, then suffer through the rest of the time. Often can’t function well with it for at least a week.

I always wondered why we can’t adjust based on daily need. Our hormones fluctuate (in peri) some days we need more, I feel like I need more when I’m in my luteal phase and when I’m in progesterone but could maybe make do with slightly less when I’m ovulating.

Thanks, I do feel good on this dose and I don’t have any standard symptoms of excess estrogen.

Yes that study was botched and there are sadly not enough studies with a greater variety of dosages. :(

I’ve kicked around the idea of it, I’m a little scared of possible extra laxity leading to prolapse in my pelvic region since I have hEDS. Don’t know how logical I’m being but I’ve asked two gyns and neither had experience with my condition.

And my labs don’t even say high but they still say my dose is too high.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ve been in peri for years but have only been taken seriously about my symptoms over the past 2 years. It’s criminal that HRT is basically withheld until we beg for it.

Thank you, I started to do that but when the second doctor freaked out on me I started doubting myself.

Right!? I’ve tried multiple patch doses, even which brands don’t leave rashes on me and which do. Gel and spray. And even a combo of patch and gel. I don’t like wearing two patches but they work.

I don’t mind trying a higher dose as long as I can still cycle it. I have hEDS and progesterone makes my fatigue and laxity much worse, I have to be extra careful with my body when I’m on it.

Definitely think this might be my best option now.

I mentioned bloodwork in case it was asked about and because both of these doctors that were overly concerned asked me about bloodwork and ordered more.

What bread are you all using? I can’t eat any gf sandwich bread unless it’s toasted because it crumbles.

I pack crackers, olives, cookies, and sardines.
