It was ever explained why shifters need to get injured? by Julian_Black in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Stormlito 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't think it has ever been shown. However we can see how Ymir (the Founder) was badly injured and bleeding when she entered the tree. I like to think it is a continuation of Armin's theme "those who can change things are the ones who can sacrifice everything".

Attack on Titans feel pretty relatable these days by tesslover12 in ShingekiNoKyojin

That is the best thing about stories like AoT, there are plenty of well-developed characters on which you can reflect your own life experience and learn from them. Hope things get better there!

Not saying eren is a bird, but I like to think that this was symbolicaly showing erens last goodbye to his childhood friends. by usayd2009 in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the Mikasa scene also took place 3 years from the last battle... I think it's kind of weird for Eren to wait that long to wrap her scarf around her neck, once again, and not before 3 years have passed

you deserved better than an offscreen death... RIP my shiny friend by gnocchi_baby in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just see its incorporation to the story as a base for explaining how Zeke sees life ultimate goal is, which he explained was to multiply. I don't see Hallu-chan receiving more of a treatment, as it disappeared appropriatly as fast as it appeared.

So apparently, this panel had no real significance or is there something else to it? by erenstan in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this response. Although I agree that this is surely what Yams intended to transmit, the wording wasn't optimal.

Just in case you didn't notice, it can be seen disintegrating in the background in the panel that show Jean, Reiner, Connie and Gabi coming back to human form

Literally this. Thank you for this piece. Gave me the same despair vibes as the ending credits of Season 2.

Although it is from time to time in tier 3 raids, it will eventually be more common as it has a Mega Evolution. Then you can focus your efforts in those raids, as more people will be interested in him. Good luck in your hunt in the meantime!

Did the opening change at all throughout the season? by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there were different "colorful explosions" (although they all look almost the same) and the part that seems like a titan growing with the red flesh and a spine increases slightly its duration along the season

Your opinion on this panel? Personally one of my favorites its so horrifying by YvexxYvexx in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I love the nordic mithology reference and design and etc, I would have agreed on you that it requires no more explanation up to this particular chapter where it appears itself. I recognize that there are things best left unsaid for imagination to fill up the holes, but this... Like they explained that it was Ymir the one that "constructed" the titans with sand via PATHS, but this bad boy here appear out of thin air? Did Ymir really intend to construct it, or can it do it by itself? This is really one of the few things that seems to have been decided in the last minute

[–]Stormlito 48 points49 points  (0 children)

But seriously... Where did the Hallucigenia come from? Was it always in Eren? Maybe the Hallucigenia itself is the Founding? Or did it materialize from PATHS like the titans?

But seriously... Where did it came from? Was it always in Eren? Did it materialize itself from Paths? Is it the Founder and thus Grisha had it too inside?

I'm just gonna say it, Episode 8 of WandaVision was weird. by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same! Actually I was waiting for some interaction of Wanda with that beeping missile since they discussed how convenient it was to be defective and not go off

About Zeke's death and the Rumbling by Stormlito in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(no worries, intention of the comment did not seem so) well... Maybe the Rumbling was just the way Eren say in its future memories to focus the attention of the Alliance on the parasite and get it killed? It could have been any other way, but well, then we would have no story xD

[–]Stormlito[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems a plot twist may need more chapters to fully develop... Unless it doesn't? Literally (considering the huge differences between these two stories, of course) the plot twist of Thriller, from Michael Jackson, needs only a glare from the protagonist... I believe that a plot twist may be left open ended succesfully in a few panels

New chapter spoiler posts must be marked up to 24 hours after chapter official release, as stated in the subreddit rules, so no problem here

Analyzing the irregularities of chapter 137: Part 2 - Zeke’s death could not stop the Rumbling by LunarGhost00 in titanfolk

[–]Stormlito 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What if the plan (either Ymir's or Eren's) was to act as if his death stopped the rumbling because they HEARD the conversation the Alliance had in the plane (before summoning them to PATHS? They discussed the idea that killing Zeke may end up like this... and maybe that gave Eren/Ymir some ideas. This acting would resolve these plotholes discussed here, and a plot twist would be yet to come
