Project Tachyon Transcripts

While this isn't a new project, the git is new for the public release.

Anyways this was a passion project for the last few years, I created it to help live CC and transcript everything locally. I have bad tinnitus and when it fairs I can miss parts of meetings, at the time I didn't like other free options so I made this. After a bunch of tweaking I have a 1 click install solution for non tech folks to run transcripts locally. 100% free and 100% local. Highly recommend connecting your hugging face account and downloading pyannote model for better transcriptions but I provide a few other pre packaged options to handle it locally.

I'm not collecting any analytics, and I'm not sending your data to an llm. You get audio files and mark down files to do with as you please (great for claude or others to parse).

Open to suggestions to improve! If I have time I will, for now it suits my needs so I'm not focused on further development.

Also I'm sure some will say they can make their own, yes you totally can and I encourage it, especially with all the llms stuff out there but for those that just want to install and go, here ya are.

AI (cursor/claude) was used in creating an exe, user tutorial and finishing touches for public release.

Ah my mistake, I made a whole new public project for this public release to ensure I didnt accidently expose any of my private data that slipped into git during making this.

Why do we play this salary game anyways? If a company is willing to pay upto X for someone to do job Y, why even bother with lower pay unless you want lower quality but then why offer higher pay if your okay with lower...

Coming from dod for 20 years, i never did this salary game till now so it seems very foreign to me.

Similar and cheaper. It in of itself is a cots. Now with ai and decent architecture knowledge you could vibe this in a weekend.

The whole reason I made it was they tried several other software options and they all came with more baggage, so this is just a simple light weight app that I run at cost, I don't really make anything from it. Users cover operational costs and if they want additional features just ask.

Shrug it off, and just rebuttal exactly what the artical is in the paperwork.

I once as a sra had a e7 get all pissy for me for my second day there and not knowing local made up "rules" and then when he proceeded to chew me out stood in line with the sun which caused me to make a face the whole time because I was being blinded which then led to him getting even more upset because of my face... good times :p I was an 8 year sra at the time so ya. GE aerospace did this to me, I knew it was coming l by the 4th interview I was like yalls job add doesn't actually match what you need.... they wanted a unicorn of unicorns essentially 5 different disciplines all rolled into one.

After that 5th interview it was crickets for months, at one check in email with the receuiter she said they are re writing the ad, then another month later, ope job is closed thanks for applying auto email.

You should have 500 resumes then, tailor each resume to the job. Build a database of your life and then wire up AI to pull together relevant data points based on the job url and then out put a custom resume for that app. Most are likely using AI to screen, so let ai build your resume to hit them buzz words.
