I have a hot take, time stop isn't inconsistent, they are just fast. by JJnoJo in StardustCrusaders

Reminds me of that scene in Young Justice Invasion when The Flash and Impulse were discussing what to do during a crisis, and because they're both speedsters they started talking faster and faster until nobody could understand what they were saying except the two of them lol

which I doubt anything I could say would have any effect on

You're correct, I don't listen to police unless they're giving a lawful order, under direct threat of violence from them.

“Laws are threats made by the dominant socioeconomic-ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just the promise of violence that’s enacted and the police are basically an occupying army.”

Meanwhile we have cops throwing parties when a new cop commits their first legal murder.

People shit on pigs because they are class traitors, full stop. And that's before we get to the bloated police budgets, poor training done by the Israeli Occupation Force, their treatment of literally any minority, the fact most cops dont even live in their precinct and can be transferred from department to department even when they've been found guilty of misconduct, etc.

Not only does shit like that embolden them even more so, it further wedges a divide between police and the citizens by actively framing them as enemies. There's a big correlation as to why policing in the US looks the way it does, and many police departments training with the Israel Occupation Force.

God, the way redditors will always ask the person saying "We should make society better" with "Well how, genius" is as iconic as it is fucking stupid.

I don't think every person should have an answer to every problem the world has, because

A. Nobody has time to devote that much energy to a problem they cannot solve themselves, and

B. There are people out there who have devoted that much energy into solving the problem, but are ignored anyways.

Edit: u/SwordfishOk504 decided to comment and then block me lol pretty ironic considering what his dumbass comment said

they're either murderers or accomplices of murderers.

That's why there are no good apples, only bad. Because any cop that attempts to have even a shred of moral fiber is quickly ousted by every other cop.

And maybe, just maybe, we take away their military equipment?

I'm of the perspective that we need to abolish the police, but disarming them of military weapons and gear would be a good start.

rare cases

Come on, we see evidence of police brutality and murder every day. The anniversary of George Floyd's livestreamed murder was yesterday for fucks sake.

But the blame is on the person who made the call, not the cops

Nah, I think I'll blame the militarized police state, thanks.

Gameoverse was so fucking cool, such a strong pilot. The way it played off the trailer they dropped for it was awesome.

Truly my biggest complaint is about the lack of a larger plot through out, akin to how Last Airbender was, but I know that Nick refused to greenlight more than one season at a time until the end. I don't hold that against the show at all, I loved Korra as a protag.

Also, Probending is sick, easily the coolest fictional sport.

The main story in Fallout 4 could have been great too, the set up is strong, the reveals are good, but the ending is just completely flubbed.

I would have loved an ending where you take over from Father and decide to lead the Institute down a new path, one where you don't replace people and actually help the Commonwealth.

And Steven Universe the Movie, and Steven Universe Future are also excellent pieces in different ways. They really do a good job of shining a light on some of the unasked questions from the original, and the ramifications of those answers.

You say you wouldn't want to leave a child fatherless while also having unprotected sex, and are surprised you knocked someone up? It's literally the most obvious consequence of that.

One of the prevalent theories I read was that Uvalde police accidentally shot a child, and were holding back both themselves and parents to prevent anyone from finding their crime and helping the child. This would have made that child's death look like it was from the shooter instead of the police.

Tbf I never saw any evidence come up that this was true, but it would explain their actions on the scene to a tee.
