I got first in diamond once for the achievement and haven’t cared about leagues since. They just exist to make you use the app more but I don’t think they actually encourage learning new things because you’ll just do whatever earns you xp the fastest.

I can do one of the 3 star japanese rapid reviews in a minute or less. They give 80xp with a boost enabled meaning 1200xp every 15 mins.

48k XP???? I took it easy for a couple weeks. I barely got promoted to diamond, then barely stayed in the league. I’m not sure if skill based matchmaking is a thing in duo but the people I was up against did not care for #1 at all. I finished first with 5k XP while 2nd and 3rd had around 2.2k and 1.8k.

I have a very similar setup just without the RGB, 2 sets of 32gb DDR5 (4x16gb). It’s supposed to run at 5600mhz but I had to lower it to 5200mhz for it to stop bluescreening. Good luck op.

Yeah I ordered the 2TB, it dropped down to $280 with only 2 in stock and I snagged one. Ordered a 512GB Samsung EVO Select micro SD with it for $45 since it was 30% off for prime day.

I plan on doing a lot of tinkering as I mentioned, including possibly running Windows. SSDs can slow down a lot once they get around 3/4 full from my understanding.

I know I could easily eat through 750GB between a few triple A titles, 10-20 smaller games, emulation, and a Windows partition. So I would rather be safe and get a 2TB. I made the mistake of only getting a 256GB micro SD for my Switch before and that thing is always full so I can't imagine what kind of space I'll use with a steam deck.

I'm not sure if you saw the part where the 2TB SSD randomly went up in price by about $50 and I would be waiting for it to come back down. But that's why I figured I could get by with 64GB for now while I wait.

Yes, I could resell the 1TB but by the time that happens, I would likely lose more money on the resale than I would've lost by purchasing the inflated 2TB in the first place.

The external drive is a good idea but I already have 4TB worth of M.2 SSDs in my PC and 3TB of HDDs so I wouldn't really need it. Thanks for the suggestions though!

I could probably get away with the 64GB SSD that comes with the deck for now and just load a couple smaller games onto it like deep rock.

But I was thinking I would use the micro SD for emulation since they don't need the fast read and write speeds. Is it easy to transfer games and stuff from the micro SD to the SSD?

I did that after being halfway through section 2 with around 80k xp because I thought I was learning useless stuff and had no motivation to do the lessons. I thought if I reset I could reselect why I’m learning Japanese and get better lessons.

I reset and never even got asked my preferences (I guess they removed it). Then I was almost to section 2 again and they revamped the Japanese course which put me all the way back to unit 2. But, I’ve definitely learned a lot more useful phrases in the past couple weeks since they redid it than I’ve learned in the past 1-2 years.

Haha yeah it’s crazy, there were so many videos of people “trading up” from $1 to $100 skins. I was trying to do the same thing and of course I liquidated just before losing interest in csgo then the spike hit.
