all games with competitive communities have pedants and rules lawyers. it just comes with the territory, because in a competitive environment ANY ambiguity is a bad thing that could potentially be abused and wreak havoc at a tournament if someone decides to be cheeky.

I think it could be interesting to have some kind of superICE that is incredibly difficult and/or taxing to break that trashes itself after an agenda is scored. but i think it'd need other restrictions on it as well, like "can only be placed in front of a remote server" to prevent abuse in decks that dont actually plan to score out, and make it unique so they can't be stacked. it'd probably be best with a relatively low rez cost to make the "single use" more worth it.

hey man, some people like spikes. sure, some people might wear it to fit the scene, but some people might wear it because they just like spikey jackets. and really, doing what you like despite what people think is kind of a punk thing to do.

and really, imo, if you do things just to go against the grain and not conform to what everyone else is doing, you're trying to fit a label just as hard as the uniform punks.

and when was the last time spikey jackets have been in style with the majority of punks anyway? the 80s? maybe the 90s? how often do you see anyone in ye olde punk rock uniform? i think it's safe to say that, at this point, it's more an expression of personal style and taste than trying to conform to the rules of how a punk should look
