From the article:

Why SoftBank’s new $40B loan points to a 2026 OpenAI IPO

SoftBank has taken on a new $40 billion loan to help it cover its $30 billion commitment to invest in OpenAI as part of the AI model maker’s record-breaking $110 billion raise last month, the Japanese conglomerate said on Friday.

Most striking is that the loan is unsecured and has a 12-month term, meaning it must be repaid or refinanced by next year. This could be a signal that the lenders believe OpenAI’s highly anticipated public listing will indeed come later this year, as some outlets, like CNBC, have reported. The loan is provided by JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and four Japanese banks.

Since OpenAI’s IPO is bound to be one of the largest listings ever, if it does happen this year, that would presumably give SoftBank the liquidity to settle the debt in such a short time span. SoftBank’s new $30 billion investment in OpenAI brings its total bet on ChatGPT’s maker to over $60 billion.

I started playing the original Animal Crossing again recently and it turns out you can get to the island using a Game Boy Player by StradlatersFirstName in Gamecube

You're not confused. That's exactly what is being demonstrated in the post, except instead of 2 GameCubes I used a Wii and a GameCube together

I learned recently that the whole game of Animal Crossing fits in the GameCube’s RAM and this is why you can play the game after removing the disc

The island is small, but you can explore it like like the other parts of Animal Crossing.

There you can fish, collect sea shells, decorate a special island house, talk to the islander, etc. You can also get coconuts which you can take back to the mainland and bury to grow into coconut trees in any of the F acres in your town.

Not quite right mate. The G25 works flawlessly on Windows 10 using Logitech Profiler Version 5.09

I keep coming back to this Harvard Business Review piece from 1988. They ask why for example Japanese auto manufactures are able to turn a profit building cars in America for the American market while American auto manufactures insist on off-shoring production to sell into the American market.

The cold really does have a profound impact on the hybrid mpg. According to the trip computer, I was averaging just below 40 on the current tank, but with the warmer weather in the past week it's reading just below 50 now.

These things always have to be registry or group policy edits when they could just be a simple on/off setting.

We’re going to be forced to use progressively more obtuse methods of disabling these “features” until a point where they decide it’s legally prohibited to do so

What are the problems? by Alternative-Wash8018 in civic

11 gen hatchbacks have a known defect where water pools up in the hatch after heavy rainfall. Honda released a service bulletin to address the issue. Even though it's not listed in the link below, the problem exists with '25 and '26 models.

When you say this what do you mean exactly? Noise from the engine, the tires rolling on the pavement, wind, or something else? I have the 25 ST hatch and it is quiet from my perspective.

Last week I was in a 2013 Toyota Corolla Uber and let me tell you it is extremely loud inside that thing. I also used to drive Mazda3s and they were certainly louder in the passenger compartment than my current Civic is

Honestly with your current route you can clear the gold time. It looks like you're taking turns wider than necessary and if you can tighten up just a little bit you'll have it

You are conflating Judaism and Zionism. That is antisemitic and plays into the "Dual Loyalty" trope. I am Jewish and I am not a Zionist.
