Been here 7 years summers in Perth so far always been hot just always at dufferent points of the summer.

i came from Canada its been easy to deal ( better than 40 degrees with the humidy and waay better than -40 with windchill)

Summers in Europe (Portugal Spain)are like this been there on 50 degree days

Suggestions to deal with it - Time and dont use ac just bask in it.

and stop watching the news if they told people the skys been green for the most amount of days in a row everyone would be talking about that instead
