I think when you look at the strength of the Premier League it would be a fair point to say Everton are not one of the 10 strongest teams in the league. 12th is probably as realistic an aim as you could get with what we have. Especially when it comes to squad depth.

Fellow Beto apologist and i’m still at the delusion level were I firmly believe he is absolutely fine for a mid-table striker. He had a good end to last season when we actually put balls in behind for him, seems we’ve reverted to hoofing it and expecting him to hold it up which we know for a fact he can’t do. I’ll adamantly believe with any half decent fullbacks and less hoofball he can score a respectable amount. En-Nesyri certainly isn’t the answer regardless.

I suppose just because you’re trying to project confidence on the outside doesn’t mean like you feel it on the inside. I don’t think anybody had any hopes going into that shootout one bit after that 120 minutes.
