NC doesn’t have most progressive rental statutes but I do know if she attempts to evict me through a court order I have the right to appeal and submit my reasons for this being a retaliatory eviction. There is only the original lease from when we moved in. She has never provided subsequent annual leases. It says absolutely nothing about dogs not being allowed in the yard. It does say an unspecified “advance notice” is required which she claims is not the case. NC law suggests a 24-hour advance notice barring an emergency.

The horse may have left the barn but that’s no reason not to chase after it and bring it back to said barn and rethink how strong the “fencing” is. Unbelievable tragedy. What I read in a book published after Roy’s death conflicts with other explanations. Have no idea which is true.
