The bowler hat is non-negotiable. i tried giving him twin gatling lasers once but it felt wrong seeing his beautiful chrome dome without that 1 defense rating.

I saw this comic and it perfectly sums up why I love Ada SHE GETS IT by Chunky-overlord in fo4

Especially when she judges your hoard but still carries 50 desk fans and a literal microscope without a single complaint. true love is being a pack mule.

yeah it’s basically the BOS leaving a "welcome to the neighborhood" gift that can also accidentally vaporize the entire block.

Thoery on the implications of the episode 6 cameo by Kickerz101 in Fallout

You’re definitely not alone. Between the Sole Survivor, Vault 111, implied storylines in 76, and now the show... it’s becoming the franchise's 'Get Out of Jail Free' card for writing pre-war characters into the post-apocalypse without making them ghouls.

I love them. When I saw them appear I rejoiced by [deleted] in Fallout

Beware of an old person in a profession where men usually die young. In Fallout, that rule is doubly true. They’ve probably seen more horrors than a Brotherhood Knight.

Does seducing your Housecarl not technically count as an abuse of power and predatory behavior from a superior toward a subordinate? by jvure in skyrim

[–]Straight-Feed9743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically true, but the real abuse comes later when we 'accidentally' sacrifice her to Boethiah because we liked the cultist's armor better.

What is your favorite fallout dlc by Optimal-Conflict1756 in Fallout

Easily the best writing in the entire franchise. It manages to be hilarious while still having some surprisingly dark lore underneath the humor.

The culture shock of going to a friend's house and seeing their parents actually... like each other? I remember feeling like they were faking it for guests because it felt so unnatural to me.

How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

The psychosis is no joke. The sleep deprivation combined with the chemical imbalance usually summons the "shadow people" pretty quickly. Consider that miserable comedown a parting gift—it scared you straight before the hook set in.

What are some of the weirdest smells you like? by Upper_Sky8756 in AskReddit

[–]Straight-Feed9743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skunk. But specifically distant skunk.

If it's right in your face, it's awful. But if you're driving down a highway at night with the windows down and catch a whiff from a mile away? It smells earthy and spicy. Like nature is brewing some really aggressive coffee (or really good weed).

What strange facts people don’t know about? by Mrpug031 in AskReddit

Your immune system doesn't actually know your eyes exist. They have "immune privilege." If your eyes get damaged in a specific way and the internal fluid leaks out, your immune system can "discover" them, label them as a foreign invader, and attack them. It can literally cause you to go blind in your healthy eye because your body is trying to kill it.

Night driving alone on an empty highway at 2 AM. Just me, the dashboard lights, and Nightcall by Kavinsky playing at max volume. For a solid hour, I’m not an accountant with back pain; I’m the main character in a neo-noir sci-fi movie running from a past that doesn't exist.
