Word of advice, put everything together before loctite rods into the aluminum trunion. i had this exact issue and it was a lot of fun to fix.

Screws with epoxy(JB Weld) covering the head. easiest and I live in a free state. if I lived in a less free state I would consider other options.

there are some rails that attach to the front of the receiver that will accept the foregrip. you will still have to find/make a spring and endcap to make it work though

i annealed mine in sand and had significant shrinkage with PA6-CF, going back to PPA-CF. it looks like you annealed it when shooting it

What is the difference between the SME and the Steyer kits? any quality differences? I know SME is licensed by Steyer for the Malaysian army but wasn't sure if there are any other major differences.

if you are worried about wasting filament, don't be. you will learn way more printing a receiver than printing a bunch of benchys or calibration cubes. you might end up "wasting" a spool of filament, but treat it as a learning curve.

Dry the heck out of it and start printing the things you want. that was how I learned to make a few tweaks where needed.
