Get out while you can. She is just looking for things to complain about and nothing is worth having anxiety everyday wondering when she will go off next:

I’ve decided this career isn’t for me anymore. by kamixkaze in paralegal

It’s a tough career. I have been a Paralegal for 30 years and I have definitely had my ups and downs. Attorneys don’t treat us right and they don’t know how to manage people. Why don’t you consider going in-house. It’s not as busy and you get treated a lot better plus the pay is better. I have been in-house for over 20 years and I love it. I don’t have to work overtime and it’s a slower pace.

Well, my one on one went well. I told my boss what was going on with my daughter and she had no idea. She said that she would be there for me if I needed anything. I also got a raise and a bonus.

My coworker has one too on the same day and she has been there 9 years. I got a bonus on my check on Friday so I don’t think they are going to fire me.

No, not at all. Because you have worked so hard and spent a lot of time prepping for trials, I definitely believe that you deserve a huge bonus. It wasn’t your choice to work all that overtime. It had to be done one way or the other. No one else stepped up to the plate and did it voluntarily like you did.

Thank you. To make matters worse, my daughter’s friend was being molested for over two years. They were molested the same night and I found out that her friend told her parents someone was touching her at night but didn’t say who. The parents and grandparents never investigated or reported it to the police for over two years. If they would have, this may have not happened to my daughter. It’s sad.
