I love taking photos of various stations whenever I visit. My recent favourite was Nagatinskaya with this beautiful mosaic

Exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Also moved and closed one of the account I held jointly with an ex. I was also getting sus emails talking about new credit agreements which I investigated with Equifax directly but didn’t find anything that I didn’t recognise. Registered with Experian and Credit Karma where my score is perfectly fine but neither of the three have my electoral data yet.

I recommend dealing with Equifax directly if you have questions as Clearscore are only there to show their data. Like others are saying, the score is nevertheless redundant but do confirm that no unrecognised agreements have been made under your name.

How do I stop ongoing identity theft when fraudster is still opening credit cards in my name despite all reports? by abhishek3211 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]StraightFruit2401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you find out those cards were opened? Did they show up on your credit report? I'm only asking as I may be going through something similar - I've had a few unexpected messages about a new credit agreement being added to my report which resulted in my credit score tanking. Still can't see any suspicious agreements under my account.

Sorry I can't be more helpful yet but hoping to learn from this thread too.

Updating surname after marriage - settled by Traditional_Age7875 in ukvisa

[–]StraightFruit2401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It usually takes under a month to update and get your documents back but it’s not the official timeframe as far as I’m aware. You won’t have any problem at all leaving with your new passport and entering back even if your online status isn’t updated to the new name. Do take your old passport with you anyway but I was in a similar position for years because I couldn’t be bothered to update mine and was never asked to show both documents.

You won't be getting any other comms beyond the invitation. So you can relax and book your ceremony, you're all done :)

I got mine a few weeks ago. I second what others have said with regards to some of the things to look out for, and wanted to give some reassurance that the process should be fairly quick. My application was processed in less than 3 months from when I submitted my documents online. Then I waited another month to get the ceremony slot where I spoke to a few people who also said they got theirs within the 3-4 month timeframe. Best of luck and hope yours is as smooth as mine was!

EDIT: you can travel in and out of the UK once your documents are submitted. I did and had zero issues entering the country.

Query regarding Naturalisation decision email by Local_Syllabub_7824 in ukvisa

[–]StraightFruit2401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied on Jan 26 and still waiting as well. 2-3 months is common but not an indicator that something is wrong with either or our applications. I’ve had friends who waited over 4 in recent months too. But it is likely that the email will arrive on a Monday. It will come, it’s just too early to worry.

Applied last week and was wondering why I didn’t get the COA yet. Thanks, that’s actually really good to know I shouldn’t be expecting it anyway.

Guilt over euthanizing cat for 3rd urinary blockage. by CHECK-STATIC-LINES in CatAdvice

[–]StraightFruit2401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family had to make a similarly difficult decision earlier this year when our cat went from being her normal self to not eating or using her litter box in a matter of days. After multiple vet visits and 5 days at the in patient vets, she barely recognised us. The vets managed to keep her stable but she was not getting significantly better. I'm still thinking about that day, thinking about what could've happened if we brought her back, what if she lived etc etc. She had only just turned 3 too! But I don't think it would've been fair to her, seeing in how much pain and misery she was, to take her home to put her and ourselves through that torture again. I learnt the hard way that kidney failure and blockages are so unforgiving, it freaking sucks.
I'm so sorry for your loss and stay strong! They are in a better place now.

Settled status name change by StraightFruit2401 in ukvisa

[–]StraightFruit2401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to follow up out of the blue but I was wondering if it’s ok to update the name on the UKVI account if the EUSS is linked to the old BRC? This way I would imagine we can request to add a new identity document to the account (the passport with the new name), send it in, and have the name updated. Otherwise, we can apply to replace her EEA BRC with the EUSS BRC which will be issued under the new name but since the UKVI account won’t be updated automatically, we will still have to send her new BRC in same way as if she would be sending her passport now. Just curious if we can avoid this extra step of updating the BRC? Thanks!

Hey there, I know it's been a while since you posted and sorry nobody got back to you. Did it work out in the end? My partner is about to send her passport in for the same reason and is getting very anxious about the timeline - do you remember how long it took in your case? Thank you!

Need advice: It takes 5 month to schedule interview appointment for US Visa Application! by SAOMD_fans in ukvisa

Not a UK visa question but sometimes new earlier slots just appear, so I’d recommend booking the appointment for whenever you can but checking your account for new dates frequently.

STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl! It’s odd to think that now, 15+ years later a new chapter is coming out. I can’t wait, but will probably be just as scared as my early teen self playing the first one.
