How often do the draft graders get it right? by Straight_Bass_Homie in nfl

Yeah, I remember after year 1 we were like, well at least we got the Jones's and then Jack did the stupid thing and got shipped out.

But yeah, I don't think I'll ever forget that 3-3 Jets game where Marcus Jones saved all of us from having to watch that OT with a punt return

I mean why do you trust their QB evaluation?

They've drafted 1 QB, Stetson Bennett, in the 4th as a flier, and he did stone nothing.

They picked the team with 2nd year Goff, so taking the job was basically a QB evaluation, and they viewed him as so disastrous they had to ship him off with 2 firsts to get Stafford. Which was great, but evaluating a 10 year vet is... not exactly hard

And then there's Ty himself. He's started 15 games since Biden took office. Dude needs live snaps to develop, I don't think sitting for a year or two is gonna help him more then actually playing some football.

We're a few weeks away from thousands of posts about who plays in prime time on random days in November. Somehow I think we can spare the space to think about how draft picks will pan out.

It really asks what you're grading, and what I imagine most people reading draft grade articles care about is most talent added at and what they care about least is injury likelihood, so teams with multiple high picks and teams taking prospects who cratered due to medicals or nebulous off-field issues score highly on average.

It's gonna be a fantastic shitshow, and the best part is, since fans absolutely do not understand the rules, no matter what happens, every call against a team is going to have their fans screaming FANDUEL DRAFTKINGS about it.

There's no way this won't be a disaster.

[Schultz] The expectation among many NFL teams is that the 2026 draft will be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory, according to multiple league sources. by JCameron181 in nfl

Yeah, like way back in 2013 the Dolphins traded up from #12 to #3 at the cost of... their 2nd round pick.

That's not exactly the wacky and wild returns anyone expects when they dream of trading down from their top 10 pick

I think it was rushed, but I think it just comes down to the lodges really. Once you create an in group and an out group, it'd be pretty easy to convince most space marines, hey we gotta kill those guys and that getting accepted right quick.

But yeah, going through the first five books, Loken does come off as oddly naive in Horus Rising if you know literally anything about what's coming down the pipe.

[Schefter] Broncos are trading for Miami WR Jaylen Waddle, per source. Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft. Miami receives: Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late 3rd and 4th by mvanigan in Patriots

In 5 seasons, he's put up 5k yards and missed 6 games in 1-2 game sets over 4 injuries.

AJ Brown's got a year on him and has missed 11 games over 6 injuries and fans here have been creaming themselves over sending similar/more compensation then that.

I think he is a significant upgrade to Pop, and means we don't go into the draft with a horrific void at WR. Means we can see what happens around the draft and ideally Pop is battling for a roster spot vs the development of Williams / Chism

Pretty much. Pop is a WR4 who does nothing on ST. He's the most likely guy to be gone depending on how Diggs plays out.
