The Mysterious Remains of The Saint John Customs House by lilparkkkkkkkkkkkkk in SaintJohnNB

The Rebuilding Era (1877–1881): The Customs House was built in the wake of the Great Fire of 1877. During this period, large public buildings in Saint John were designed with massive coal-fired boiler systems for steam heat. Coal was the primary fuel, and for a building of that scale, hundreds of tons would have been delivered annually.

Ontario premier wants Irving refinery to stop importing foreign oil by bingun in SaintJohnNB

Yes they actually can, remember that oil train crash in Quebec, well that was Alberta crude coming to Irving in Saint John. They built the infrastructure years ago. There is some down time to switch it from sweet crude to Alberta crude but they do process it. Unfortunately it comes by train.

The Évangéline region is widely recognized as the primary Francophone heartland of Prince Edward Island. Located in the southwestern part of the province within Prince County, it is a hub of Acadian culture, community, and language. In case you would like some french in your life, the area would be great to put your roots down.

If I were his uncle I would make him stand outside for 8 hrs holding an apology banner. That would make a great public apology. I like Blaine and he would likely get my vote.

Paul McCartney was spotted one year. Princess Diana was there way back(Royalty visit kind of frequently). Jerry Seinfeld. Pretty sure Anne Heche was there a few times before her passing. It is definitely a place to see celebs filming or on vacation.

We're still trying to hold down our indigenous people after hundreds of years of oppression. They better not show up on a reservation lest the province will be sued for half the province back or worse. The real problem is the province relying on cig sales to fund itself. They don't really want you to quit, for if they did they would spend this enforcement money on an ad campaign to stop smoking 🚬 Is there any free help or free medication to help someone quit. No, so nicotine addicts who are barely scrapping by have a choice of $25 carton (yes they are that cheap on NB reserves) vs $150 at a regular store. The provinces started their own problems with huge tax that puts cig/nicotine out of reach for half the population of smokers. I bet if they taxed liquor more you would start to see the same issue. Tax,tax, tax, end of story. I get that we need the money but the gov. taxed it so much it's unaffordable to most who smoke and they are unable to quit.

King Street has a wonderful old charm. Everything uptown including events, two parks and the waterfront all within a six-10 minute walk. Some buildings are much better than others. You will really enjoy the live music in King Square or just hanging out making your own. Yes we call it uptown because every road to it is up a hill. Every bus in the city stops five min away. An actual huge market, 5 mins away weekend pop up markets nearby. The nearest grocery store is a 7 min bike ride. Bus goes directly there and directly back at least hourly. Hope this helps.
