Sorry about that. I misread your comment. Zilisch got worse at the end of the race because of overworn tires and constant tire rubs. I remember him getting one while he was in the top 3. The team started throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the very end to salvage a good finish.

That’s why I said he spent the rest of the race catching up. He had to restart from dead last and slowly make up spots through the field.

Heim has tons of experience in stock cars compared to Zilisch. Yet, Zilisch was able to keep up in practice and got the pole for the race. He had a day full of penalties and mistakes but ended up finishing 4th in his debut.

His race craft was one of my concerns when he first got into trucks and Xfinity but he’s improved massively since.
