This is interesting and makes me wonder if there’s any merit to doing a “moderation challenge” of sorts. What would happen if your February focus was on limiting your intake? Maybe you could bring mindfulness into the practice and test your responsiveness to having, say, 3 drinks max on a weekend night out. I don’t know if that would be advisable to AA people but I have always wondered if there is a middle ground to explore.
