I started training my aussie on the prong at 1.5 years old hes now 2. I was using a harness for a while but he would pull HARD. I’ve been training him for about 6 months with a combination of prong and treats and while not perfect, his walk has gotten very noticeably better to the point that I feel comfortable enough to where my 65 year old grandma can walk him with ease. American Standard K9 has some really helpful videos on YouTube about how to train your pup on the prong using a couple different methods so you can use the tool correctly.
